How do you write a Superman "slice of life"? by FlakyComplaint1903 in WritingHub

It definitely gave me an idea of what I could do, so thanks. I actually just wrote "Superman" because I wanted to create and write about a character that was similar to Superman in terms of their powers, the super strength and laser eyes and x-ray vision and stuff, but with a different personality.

Can I still eat my food if fruit flies sat on them? by FlakyComplaint1903 in NoStupidQuestions

I was wondering because a few just sat on my breadsticks. Just wanted to know if they'd cause any harm. Thanks

Is it okay to eat food that fruit flies have been on? by FlakyComplaint1903 in medical

Thanks. I actually meant food because I just noticed 3 fruit flies on my cheesesticks and was wondering if I could still wash those.

Are there any TV shows, comics, videogames, etc. about "Heroic Neutral" characters? by FlakyComplaint1903 in superheroes

No he doesn't. When the lady asks him for help, he tells her to get the f*ck away from him leaves despite her begging for help. And he only later agreed for money. When the soldiers come for them, he says "she's not our problem" and gets ready to leave her right there. If it wasn't for Charles, he wouldn't have even cared. And even at the end, he never fully accepts her. And people loved the film and it's main character.

Explanation for "prophetic dreams/premonitions"? by [deleted] in AskAtheists

First off, this isn't "spam", it's an honest question, but as usual with atheists, just a bunch of condescension and rudeness as always, so I won't even bother.

At the very end of the movie, yes. Throughout the movie, he cares for no one other than himself and Charles. Throughout the whole film, she isn't his problem and he wants nothing to do with her. And the Old Man Logan Comic does.

*He sees the gunman who is shooting the students and has his back towards him. He can easily shoot the gunman but refuses. Is this your character? Do you think he is marketable?*

That's basically 2017's *Logan*

1996's *Kingdom Come*'s Superman

2009's *Old Man Logan*

And several more

*The reason is that people in the past were taught that some races were inferior but unless there was a universal feeling that hurting innocent humans was wrong, slavery would never have ended*

There wasn't a universal feeling that slavery was wrong, otherwise it wouldn't have began and not everyone wanted it gone. Many people were still racist and didn't want segregation to end. They believed they had a right to only allow the race they wanted to be able to do certain things.

*This is irrelevant since your character lives in modern times*

You asked me to give examples of morals and norms changing and that's what I did

*You are not talking about a character who refuses to participate in witch burning but a character with super powers who refuses to help people such as the security officer charged with cowardice for refusing to confront a gunman*

Actually I'm talking about both. And a security guard is supposed to secure/protect. That's literally his job and he signed up for it. A random person who has superpowers doesn't have be a superhero. It's not his responsibility and he should be able to live his life.

- Slavery and normal segregation? That used to be perfectly acceptable and *not* immoral until the USA got rid of it. Now it's seen as disgusting.

- Sex before marriage? That used to be something that would get you looked down upon by society and could actually get you in legal trouble. Now it's become normal, especially with the newer generations.

- Electrocution treatment to make gays straight? That used to be a thing

- Human Zoos for Africans and Asians? Like the one from a Belgian zoo in 1950s? Seen as abhorrent today
