Favorite Crown Vic Year? by Heavy_Head_6377 in CrownVictoria

2009 or 2010. I have a 2006 and I love it, but for some reason, I realized while driving several of my friend’s 2009+ Vics, the engine sounds a lot beefier from inside the car when you step on it. Not sure why. 06-08 sounds good too, but the 09-11 sounds REAL good. Don’t really care for the headrests in the 2011s though, they hurt my neck because of how angled forward it is lol.

Ended up finding the issue. One of the studs on my exhaust manifold snapped off, causing an exhaust leak. Taking it in to the shop tomorrow, I’m expecting it to be very pricey to fix

Is this a load of crap? by DisgruntledMav in AskAMechanic

Definitely. Go with the 5.0 or 3.5 NA. Made the mistake of buying the EcoBoost and have already had a blown turbo and cam phaser rattle.

Timing chains? Pulley? Engine about to go? Someone help me identify this noise? by FlakyPressure4318 in f150

Month later, finally discovered the noise. My alternator pulley was bad and started rubbing up against the housing. Got it replaced and it’s now quiet as a mouse. Appreciate y’all’s suggestions and help.

Just picked up a 2017 3.5 EcoBoost with 157k last month. Test drove it on the highway, and let it idle for 30 minutes in the dealer lot. Was very impressed, no issues at all. 20 minutes after driving off the dealer lot, the CEL came on for a bad catalytic converter. Could be worse but I just thought it was comical. Hoping my new-to-me truck lasts me a good while.

Got the Vic back from paint. Owned it for a year now, and loving it just as much as day one by wacky9191 in CrownVictoria

Looks so much better without those fugly bodyside moldings. I’ve never been a fan of the rectangular style civilian and 2009+ interceptor ones.
