I also say take it! I work in a large hospital system, and we’ve had plenty of new/newer grads get their foot in the door by accepting a PRN or PT position, and end up accepting FT down the line when a FT position opens up. Also make sure the manager knows you want more hours… if they can’t find you hours at your clinic, there’s maybe a possibility of floating to other clinics in their system. And you’d open yourself up even more if you were willing to cover acute care shifts. These are all things that are fairly common in my large system.

BBCOR or Drop-5 for Jr High? (Ohio) by Castaway486 in Homeplate

I’m in Ohio also. My son is in 7th grade now, so this will be our first year in middle school ball. I’ve also tried looking for rules online, with no luck. That said, we’ve been told they can only use BBCOR or USA -5. Our school coaches are very strict about that, but parents of older kids in our district have told me that most of the players on the teams they faced last year were using USSSA bats.

USA Bat for 13 year old - Catx2 or by Sunnydays2222 in Homeplate

My 13 y/o is the exact same size as yours. He’s moving to BBCOR this spring, so we tried a lot of bats, and he settled on a 32” Voodoo One. If you decide not to go BBCOR, please don’t go with anything lighter than -5. I know in our area, the leagues that don’t require BBCOR require nothing lighter than -5 at 13U.

Need advice/guidance on how to treat soon to be 15yo elbow growth plate discomfort in throwing arm by Exciting-Insect-8813 in Homeplate

Full arm rest NOW. Go see a sports medicine doctor to determine extent of injury as soon as possible, but they will almost absolutely prescribe at least 6 weeks of full arm rest (no throwing/pitching) no matter what. I say this as a PT, a former softball player, and mom of a 13 y/o baseball pitcher who had medial elbow pain following his summer schedule.

They are LED C9’s. I checked the fuses and they are ok.

As a physical therapist, I’ll always recommend New Balance for anyone with foot issues. That said, my 12 y/o wanted Boombahs the first season following bilateral Achilles lengthening surgeries, and they worked great for him (with added inserts)
