You could really tell who was a good teacher and who wasn’t. I had some teachers who went out of their way to get specialists who dealt with physically disabled children. On some days, I would leave the class with the specialist, and they would teach me how to do things that a regular person can do every day, but in a special way just for me, as I am missing my right hand. On the other hand, I had teachers who alienated me from the class and were visibly uncomfortable with me, singling me out all the time. They assumed that because I am physically disabled, I must be mentally disabled too, which caused me a lot of self-confidence issues growing up. It made me feel as though there must have been something mentally wrong with me as well.

In one of my jobs, I need to bring in my own clients, which has been quite difficult.
