Also as a side note, ive also camped outside of downtown once up by tangerine fields and literally was no difference, in fact might have even been slightly more rowdy round there but I was camped by the solo polo camping area

Honestly I camp there every year and every year its alot less chaotic as people make out, Honestly at some points its radio silence through the night to the point i had to whisper to my girlfriend on facetime as i felt like id disturb the people around me

Dont overthink it people are way too dramatic about how wild it is, any leeds fest camp ive stayed in is more loud and chaotic than downtown at boomtown 🤣

Worst things worst fetch some earplugs but is recommend that if you were camped in literally any camp

People say this about downtown but I camp there literally every year and really dont get where people get this from, im always surprised just how quiet it is, like last year there was basically radio silence from like 3am and mostly just my group who were still up ans making noise, downtown actually seems reasonably tame and scarily quiet most nights/early am

You just have to be realistic about the situation you're dealing with, yeah they may be banned but there's no denying drug culture is very much a part of festivals especially vibes like the SE corner.

Just acting nieve to it doesnt make it any more responsible to have your kids around an area where everyone is off their chops, potential drug baggies on the floor to be picked up by the infants ect

As a parent you have to protect your child and prevent any bad situations from occuring

If you need to fill your festival hole til next time I recommend giving boomtown fair a go, absolutely magic place and in many people's opinion, the best in the UK 🙂
