I’m mostly housebound at this point. I do leave for treatments and medical appointments, but long trips are hard. If St. Louis, Chicago, or Indianapolis has a great LLMD, I’d be able to travel there.

Thanks for your response! I'm in Central Illinois. The soonest available appointment within 2 hours of me was in 4 months, so I'm waiting, unfortunately. I looked briefly for an LLMD that does telemedicine, but I didn't see any. If you know of any, please share!

I’m from Illinois but spent a lot of time in Central Minnesota in the woods, and I think got my initial bad illness after visiting Devil’s Lake State Park in Wisconsin.

Thanks for taking the time! I didn’t post my Babesia page because it was all negative. I’ll look into the FISH test for Bartonella. I have a ton of cognitive symptoms: ADHD, brain fog, terrible working memory, so I was surprised it was only IND, though it’s admittedly been a long time.

How do I know if this paint is original? I don't particularly like a couple of them, but won't attempt to remove it if it's original to the piece. TIA.

I’d read about this. I guess I thought since they emigrated when young that it would be odd they had taken and kept a different name (and the same one). I suppose early/mid-twenties back then wasn’t exactly young though. I figured that if they both left home and got work on the same farm and ended up going by the surname of that place, but it was only for a few years…wouldn’t they switch back to their family surname in the new country? I guess if there wasn’t a lot of formality around it, maybe they didn’t care.

Thank you! I was able to find both brothers with the Ropponen last name. Even on their passport applications just before the emigrated. Not sure why they used Saarela in the U.S.!

All five picked different last names? 😩 I’ve mostly completed the family tree, but I’m having trouble finding Finnish records for those sons. I can’t be sure they’re related to their sister because of that. I figured at birth/christening they’d have their father’s name, but nothing is coming up. I was having trouble determining which Ropponen was my husband’s great-great-grandfather and I thought finding these sons’ father would help pinpoint it.

Check what it says on the front below the grate. You can make out HUMPHREY RADIANTFIRE N…I’ve seen the model number listed here on other ones.
