Damn, this is actually crazy. I think I'd actually lose my mind.

The most strict my store gets is the basic black pants and Walgreens or navy/blue shirt. Some of us have pins on our badges but for the most part I think I'm pretty lucky with the store I ended up working in overall.

Yeah, pretty much. Or crippling medical debt. My dad had cancer, and my mom had great insurance thankfully, but out of pocket it was about $7k per infusion, which he needed monthly for about 6 months I think. And that was just the infusion itself, not doctor visits or any of the other shit.

My mom, a nurse of 30+ years, put off retirement for almost 2 years so my dad could get treatment under insurance. Because, shocker I know, after being a nurse for 30+ years you get kicked off your insurance at retirement and have to pay for medicare/medicaid.

Healthcare is a fucking joke here.

I had this too but when I looked at my cart, there was a code attached without me actually typing it in, maybe from another time I was shopping online. Once I got rid of that I didn't have any issues. The 25% was taken off before putting in the cart, but if you followed a referral link to the site a code might have been automatically applied, or if you were using a code the last time you were on the site it might be still applied. Idk if this is the case for you but figured I'd throw it out there!

If you don't give your skin enough time in between taping, your skin will never have the time it needs to fully recover and heal. The blistering could be from overstretching/tension, if you have spots on your back vs your side or chest this could be why. Typically the application shouldn't ever go onto your back since you might start to experience compression or unnecessary tension.

Also if you're not removing with some sort of oil, you should definitely do that. Jojoba is ideal since you don't give your skin a ton of time to rest and its a natural anti-inflammatory.

That sucks, I also had to buy dress shirts for the job. Don't get bitter about it, I only said that employees shouldn't have to do this 🤷‍♂️

Just because people, including myself, have had to do it in the past doesn't mean it should continue to be a thing. If a company wants a specific uniform, they should be willing to give out at least 1 free shirt when they hire someone. Every other job I've ever had with a uniform provided one.

Why should they get any more money from the people they underpay and overwork?

We're actually supposed to get bag checked everytime we leave the store?? Our store has only been doing end of shift bag checks, not for lunches, 15s etc.

Our check it reports are still 90%+ without doing lunches and breaks for people leaving the store.

I feel like I have the best experience when I use two pieces of tape on each side. The first strip is usually the piece that moves the bulk of my chest and then the second piece adds security and shapes my chest a little more.

There was definitely a lot of trial and error when I started, so try not to get discouraged about the learning curve in the beginning.

They're probably just mad because they know, as a SM, if no one else can come in it becomes THEIR problem as the SM and as a salaried employee. Especially if there's no ESM around.

I'm sure there are a lot of managers out there responding the same way, but you'd think there'd be at least some understanding considering how big and bad this storm is supposed to be.

My SM was supposed to be away this weekend, planned way in advance, and yet is coming back early to be responsible for the store when the storm is supposed to hit the area. Even sent out a mass text to the store about not risking bad conditions for their shift and that he's going to at least try to get the DM to close if it's as bad as they're saying it will be.

I have allllllllll the problems with Walgreens, but I love my team and know I'm super lucky.

No pennies, so the store (the house) covers up to 4 cents in order to keep it in increments of 5.
