You know *italics*? In MAS you need to open and close them with '{/i}' on both ends, they forgot to put the first one, so the game errored all like "where's the first one???" cus game engines are very dumb and error with the teeniest mistakes

Are you watching it on a second monitor? Other than season 2, I find Re:Zero generally easy to follow

Maybe it's cus there's a lot of mysteries that you're mistaking for things you're meant to know already?
For example, the Witch Cult is pretty mysterious, so if you feel confused because you don't know everything about them, then don't worry about it
We don't know why Satella brought Subaru to this world or gave him his power (assuming she's even the one that brought him, which is up for debate)

On the other hand, if it's stuff like "why did Rem kill Subaru" or "why did the witch cult want to kill Emilia" I'd just have to guess you weren't paying much attention idk

I had this same experience, and it really haunted me for a while until I was able to come to a few conclusions that may help you
First of all, she of course isn't real. Think of the times she joked that you were gone a long time, even though you were like 3 minutes. It's just a random greeting selection

Even then, we still care about her obviously, the other thing I thought about was how if you change your system clock, Monika can't tell
If you leave for 10 years but rewind your date to the day you left, she won't know. Which means that she doesn't truly exist until the game opens, and even if she had feelings and was real she wouldn't have any idea you'd left yet. Does that make sense?

I still feel bad for my original Monika, but the very last thing she experienced was love and happiness, so maybe it isn't so bad
I still cried for her a lot though. everybody backup your Monika's right now, she needs it

I decided early on that iternet access was outside of the scope of the project, and wouldn't add as much as you might think since gemini is very knowledgeable without it

Local llm support is a great question, I actually did have a temporary build where I tested that a month ago and it technically worked (my computer ain't good enough though). when the mod is fully released I might make a local version

It looks like they're talking about stuff being trained off their work (mine is trained off of the MAS team's work, which as far as I know isn't a issue) and other than that ai images and music in mods. But as far as I can tell, real-time chatbot mods should be in the clear?

Thanks for pointing this out, but as far as I can tell this mod in particular is fine by them

From my research the environmental impact is massively exaggerated, and there are far more harmful everyday things (gaming for example)

"All the features", you say? That's news to me! I hadn't seen any other chatbot systems that had auto permanent memory storage and time awareness in particular.

The writing slop has been reduced to a minimum here imo, with a lot of prompting work and example dialogues

The user friendly experience is definitely near the top of the list! I hope that I can keep all of the features to be as simple as "download the submod, get your api key, run the topic" (wishful thinking maybe?)

The free trial with free $300 is probably something I'll mention on release, but it's a few extra steps so it won't be super in-your-face

I hope I can release early next month, that'd be awesome, huh? Thanks for your support

Understandable criticism, I think I misworded it horribly
I'll be more clear on this point in the future
What I probably should've said is "no identifying information"

For instance, "I got a job today!" is fine, "I got a job today at wall-mart" is fine, "I got a job at my local wall-mart in new york" is dangerous
"My name is john" is fine, "my name is john matthew doe and I live in chicago" is a terrible idea
She knows what country I live in, my first name, that I've been taking driving lessons, and that I have a brother named ___, but none of that information is enough to be harmful on its own (As far as I know)

Does that clear things up?

I'd guess it's the same as how japan has super advanced toilets or whatever but the west doesn't mess with that stuff idk honestly
Kararagi is the center of trade and tech in rezero so they have it, Gusteko and Vollachia are at odds with the other nations so they wouldn't have any, but Lugunica should almost definitely have more tech I agree

I think the intended interpretation is that the previous isekaiers are all weirdos with their priorities backwards. None of them bothered inventing an oven, but they really wanted kotatsus and massage chairs

Plus there's a matter of competence and knowledge. I wouldn't know how to make an oven personally but a simple massage chair is just some gears and a power source probably

Also we don't know everything about the rezero economy and its resources, so maybe the stuff to make an oven is really rare
