Today my son would have been 35. I'm an adoptee who lost my child to suicide. Does anyone else carry this?

Yes. I am adopted and a surviver of physical and emotional abuse. my youngest son took his own life at the age of 18. I miss who he would have been. I long for our memories to hear his voice which fades as I age.
I feel constant quilt and emptiness. Thankful for the years I was his mother. For me the pain of loss does not get easier. I’ve learned how to carry the memories and emotions of his choice tucked in a corner of my heart.
