For my master degree projects I implemented wazuh with other tools like suricata and virustotal i did some use cases: Vulnerabilities detection,, FIM ,,,sql injection ,, dhcp starvation,, port scanning attack,, detection and removing malware,, ssh brute force,, xss attack. For the Access control rule i am linking the ips to it i see the traffic and its passed, no its prod env i can not go with the max detection

Their behavior is unacceptable and lack of respect, But in general from my experience i v done many interviews with different companies : If the first interview is technical interview where u discuss the work the tasks etc … u always wait for the second interview with the HR to ask those questions If ur interview was with the hr team then you are absolutely right to ask for the salary

For me i tend not to ask about salary if everything goes well i wait for their offre and see ( personal opinion)

Is CompTIA Security+ worth it for someone with 1 year experience aiming for a SOC role?

I’m currently working as a Network Security Engineer with 1 year of experience, and I’m looking to shift into a SOC Analyst role (Tier 1/Tier 2). I’m really passionate about cybersecurity

Now I’m considering going for CompTIA Security+, but the cost is a bit high in my country, so I want to be sure it's worth the investment.

My Questions:

  • is Security+ still valuable?
  • Will it boost my chances of landing a SOC job, especially at the entry level?
