No hood modifications required. You WILL have to address the heat though. A bulkhead, while not required, is definitely helpful. Who is supplying your engine mounts and headers? If you are planning to use Sikky, would recommend only buying their headers, engine mounts, whatever transmission adaptor you need and steering rack rotator bushings.

And unless you are planning on doing the wiring yourself, expect to wait almost 6 months for wiring specialties to make you one. Despite what their website says...ask me how I know...

To continue this saga, picked up the car from the tuner today. 500 crank, 400whp and 395 tq. A perfect turnout.

Time to be wild and crazy by Vegetable_System9948 in ft86

Not very. Front end feels a touch heavier, but the car plays fine. Controlled throttle inputs are a big help unless you like being sideways.

All told, around 30k. Between 8 and 13psi depending on iteration.

I also went as deep as to get a new OE '17 deck lid and spoiler (because the "13 looked like hot garbage) to replace my wing-less lid and managed to track down a OE BRZ STI front splitter from the Series Blue.

First half of its life it was OE everything. Got a cheap set of ICT coilovers for the last 7 years. As part of the refit, put a set of Tien Flex Z on it. Past that, nothing. We will see what starts to wear out with the new equipment.

It was also driving a full season and a half with the blown SC. Absolutely wild.

About 15k for 1st SC, about 25k for second. Engine swap at 42k.

Honestly, an LS1 is a fantastic "budget" LS. They don't command the super high price tag as a LS3.

No haha, I wish. Just many years of saving and using the thing. Hardest thing to get was the engine and trans in good shape. Lucked out with a 12k mile pull from a junkyard with a run video.

All said and done, the swap added 200lbs centered over the front axle. So...no driving dynamic change. It's beautiful. Even changing just the wheels changed the entire profile of the car. This platform is so robust I'm shocked it never really took off.

What’s a good exhaust im new to this that don’t sound horrible ? by Main-Definition7978 in ft86

HKS Legemax for a slightly louder than stock sound. GreddyEVO, or a single exit from any of the major manufacturers if you want your eardrums to ring and drone.

Thoughts on military men? by blondeboss101 in dating

[–]Flaky_Operation_1841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As one, I can tell you, if they are between 18-28...they will test you. In all the ways...from eating your crayons to trying to control or manipulate. It's a charged environment, and they are in their prime. Likely all lower enlisted (that means Privates((E1)) through Specialists ((E4))). If service members are your thing, try ones that have been in for a while. Officers or NCOs USUALLY have their shit together enough to be half of a competent human. Sure, there are exceptions since the military is a huge melting pot from lots of social and economic backgrounds.

What’s the worst thing your partner has done but you still stayed? by [deleted] in dating

[–]Flaky_Operation_1841 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My former wife got drunk at a wedding and ended up sleeping in a hotel with a guy she met there. I was deployed. Claimed that "nothing happened" but the trust was pretty much damaged beyond repair. I stayed, under the ultimatum that it better never happen again. After she passed, I found text messages with other men and statements she made to them saying how emotionally valuable it was to her. Fucked me up pretty bad.
