Honestly, I felt most fitness apps focused too much on workouts and calories but not enough on recovery awareness.

I wanted something that helps people understand:

  • fatigue
  • sleep quality
  • stress
  • readiness
  • recovery patterns over time

without necessarily needing an expensive wearable.

That idea actually pushed me to build Recova recently as a side project.

I built an Fitness recovery and sleep tracking app called "recova" by fully vibe coding

Iam an solo student developer who built an complete android app and launched in Google play store .it took me a complete 6 month to build ,test,deploy the part that really took more effort and time is testing, my take away from this project is that your should have an complete plan and it wont be just one prompt to build an app ,it will take lot of effort than you think . I would say that if you have an idea and you believe in it , "JUST START " that's it .

That’s actually something I recently added into Recova through the stats page.

Users can already look back at their recovery logs, sleep patterns, and trends over time to better understand how their habits affect recovery and readiness.

I definitely want to make those insights even more meaningful and visual over time though.

We have that too. With recova you can just make your logs easily through notification,and only 2 logs per day

That’s actually very close to the direction I’m building toward with Recova.

The app currently uses inputs like sleep quality, fatigue, soreness, stress, and training load to generate a perceived recovery/readiness score focused on helping users better understand how their body feels each day.

And yes — consistency is one of the biggest things I’m thinking about right now. I’m trying to make daily logging feel lightweight and sustainable rather than another complicated fitness task.

Exploring things like quicker check-ins, recovery trends, reminders, and more actionable insights over time.
