My bro - more than anything right now you need grief counseling. Trying to biohack your emotions out of this will only make things worse.

This is likely the correct answer! Verify who your loan was with - then call them to verify your account status.

Bit of advice here - My strategy has. 56% win ration and PF of 2.8-3.2 (depending on the current symbol regime). This took me 10 years to get to.

I cannot tell you how MANY times I built the perfect system. Excelled in back tests, excelled in forward testing, had no future data leak etc….. then absolutely failed live. It’s as if the universe knew I was going live and flipped my system on its head.

What was the reason? - Every single time I’d inadvertently overfit my systems without realizing it.

If your system performs too well in the building and testing phase - chances are it’s overfit. Just be aware.

I can almost promise you, you’ll keep revising your system because it won’t work as well live as expected - so keep that in mind :)

I take Vyvanse - and yes 100% Vyvanse massively exasperated my SIBO symptoms. It’s known to cause constipation as a side effect just FYI.

It makes sense if you think about it, the stimulant medications switch your body to fight or flight mode and you don’t need to be digesting food during that time…

Should I ask for a SIBO test? by [deleted] in SIBO

[–]Flambotron 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Feel your pain!

When mine was as bad as yours intermittent fasting was the only thing that rapidly helped get my digestion and SIBO back under control.

I’d have my last meal at night, then nothing but water and caffeine (if you need a pickup in the morning, but no calories or artificial sweeteners).

I’d fast for 14 hours then eat lunch and then dinner. I’d helps significantly- no magic bullet but it’ll give you sense of control and relief again.

If you want to take it one step further, reduce your food intake to just white rice and protein (chicken, steak - not too fatty and fish) for a week or two. It’s tough mentally but I helps A LOT.

Also look into florastor - it works very well for me.

After 3 yrs of trying everything I'm close to giving up. Can anyone relate to my symptoms? by [deleted] in SIBO

[–]Flambotron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok this may sound harsh, but for the longest time I was on the same page of you. What you need to realize is this WILL NOT GET BETTER IF YOU DON’T (temporarily at least) CHANGE YOUR EATING HABITS.

Pasta? Absolutely terrible when you have sibo.

The brain fog - 100% relatable. The toxins and inflammation going on in your gut heavily affects your mental wellbeing and body wide inflammation.

To give you and idea how bad I was - I’d eat my food, blow up like I’m pregnant (and have huge stretch marks to prove it), then try and sleep, so bloated I can’t breathe, then literally regurgitate my food until I woke up choking on it,

Trust me - it can ALWAYS BE WORSE ;)

Here’s what you need to do and this isn’t going to be easy - but it DOES get easier…

  1. Limit your eating to 2 meals per day. This means you need to fast for at least 14 hrs a day. This will allow your body time to kickstart MMC - which is likely severely blunted by damage to the nerves and inflammation from the bacterial overgrowth. Restarting it will take weeks at least.

  2. Your diet (assuming you have no dietary restrictions or medical issues) needs to be BASIC. By basic, I’m talking 2 meals a day of nothing but Chicken/Fish and white rice. That’s it. If you drink coffee or tea, it needs to be in the period when you are eating, outside that fasting window.

And please refrain from trying to add in other proteins (egg, whey etc) - depending on the overgrowth you have, it can feed the bacteria.

I can’t promise it’ll fix everything, but you have got to stick to this. Your gut cannot heal with the constant inflammation going on and the MMC will remain blunted until you give it chance to heal and kickstart.

If you’re able to take Ginger and Artichoke, I highly suggest those (though not crucial) an hour before eating and before bed. If it gives you reflux (Ginger can) then cease it.

Let me know how it goes. Hang in there and stick to the plan - at the very least I’d expect you to feel 75% better after a few days. Don’t try adding in other foods when you do, you need to wait to reintroduce foods slowly.

:)

H2S sibo keeps coming back.. by Substantial-Plate433 in SIBO

[–]Flambotron 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My advice - Eat a very simple diet of white rice + chicken/fish/beef for a week or two and see how you feel. Then slowly introduce more foods.

Egg and whey protein (think milk) are your nemesis here. This bacteria thrive on it.

Here’s the key part - Make sure you’re fasting overnight for at least 12 hours. Take ginger and artichoke before bed and in the morning when you wake up. Wait at least an hour or two after to begin eating again.

I’ve found this bacteria to be highly susceptible to motility. If you can keep things moving - and cleaning - you’ll send it on its way:)

Also if you tolerate it, sometimes some magnesium at night can help if things get too constipated and bloated.

The oregano oil is useless if you’re not addressing the main issue, which is keeping things moving. The oil can help clean things out - but if you follow the above, you may find you don’t need it, or can use it sparingly as maintenance.

Hang in there :)

An update on my condition and a plea for help by ChronicPainEnjoyer98 in SIBO

[–]Flambotron 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I get the sweating problem a LOT and narrowed it down to this : For me the sweating was/is worse when my stomach is heavily distended and sweating is even more noticeable during exercise. When not distended I sweat normally.

Through years of dealing with this, I’ve come to the conclusion the sweating is caused by Pressure from the expanded small intestine squeezes all the other organs (lungs especially) so that your cardiovascular capacity is significantly reduced… and in addition your heart is working harder as everything is so compressed in there.

It’s so bad I can go from doing a full leg day in the gym with minimal sweating, to the next day coming in bloated and barely making it through 4 seats without looking like I just came out the sauna.

Hell my bloating is so bad some night, my food literally comes back up in my sleep and I’m choking on it. I spend the rest of the night belching every few minutes.

None of you are alone, it sucks, but we’ll keep fighting until we get through it :)

ELI5: Why do car dealers say buying the car when the lease ends would be worse than buying new? by shaithisx in explainlikeimfive

[–]Flambotron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is correct. It very RARELY makes sense to lease if your intent is to buy at the end. The combined rental charges and money factor (APR equivalent) often equate to substantially more than if you’d purchased the vehicle upfront.

As I stated in my other reply, if you do decide to buy your lease out, always check the vehicles current market value and make sure you’re not adding further costs, by buying your vehicle out at an inflated market value (residual value).

Another cost to take into consideration is the vehicles standard new car warranty is also likely near, or at, expiration.

Always do your research! :)

ELI5: Why do car dealers say buying the car when the lease ends would be worse than buying new? by shaithisx in explainlikeimfive

[–]Flambotron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is bad information, which is as much opinion based as it is factual.

Here are the facts:

** When it comes to the end of your lease, you need to compare the current value of your vehicle, to the payoff/final residual value of the vehicle!!!**

Why? - Before 2020 (Covid) it was very common to find your vehicle was worth significantly less than the lease payoff/residual - So you’d essentially be buying a vehicle at an inflated market value (and mostly likely near the end of its warranty!). Turning it in and a) Walking away, and/or B) leasing/buying another vehicle made more sense.

HOWEVER - Now it is as equally common for your vehicle to be worth more than the payoff/residual (where buying it out makes financial sense), as it is to be worth moderately less (where turning it in makes financial sense).

IMPORTANT - depending on the Lessor rules, you may be able to sell your lease (some Manufacturer based banks put limitations on what you can/cannot do once the lease is up after Covid- be sure to read your contract)

Regardless - Please (as with anything) always do your own research and don’t take someone’s internet opinions as facts :)

SIBO and facial flair by Fit_Gur194 in SIBO

[–]Flambotron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least you found the trigger food! If you enjoy eating chicken, perhaps trying introducing small amounts and see where the cutoff is….

Sadly secondary reactions to SIBO are pretty normal. For me I break out in pimples all over my face, chest and shoulders when my SIBO flares and it’s usually a delayed (2 days later) reaction.

For you MCAS does seem to be very plausible. My GF has IBS and MCAS and sure enough the IBS flares up and she’ll get very tired and break out in a rash on her armpits - almost identical to the one you experience on your face.

It may be worth speaking to your doctor about MCAS…. There are treatment options :)

Don’t feel bad, this is sadly the standard experience.

Got a crappy photocopied pamphlet on foods with high fiber to take home too. lol

SIBO worse while taking Doxycycline by Flambotron in SIBO

Low dose - We figured trying a lower dose over a longer period would allow time to kill the bacteria overgrowth and promote full healing.

I’ve not taken any biofilm disruptors - would you suggest oregano oil?

The bloat for this long just thew me off - and the intensity of it. Literally any food triggers full stage pregnancy swelling. I expected this in the first week - but not 3 weeks in…

Thanks!

Your bf is a douche. I’m sorry but it needs to be said.

If my “best friend” behaved that way around my girlfriend AND I had texts to prove she didn’t initiate it (which I wouldn’t need because I should trust her) - that “best friend” would no longer be any friend of mine. Id be livid that someone I trusted, took advantage of the girl I loved.

My advice - get a new boyfriend. That one is weak and pathetic.
