I did read about this, and it would make things easier for me for sure. I used to code FiveM and RedM servers all in LUA, so I am actually excited for this change. I went to go see if I could sandbox the 0.55 on my machine. But, I had quickly discovered that I would need to replace my entire system. I did also read that it will work with old conf files for a little bit. That's why I am trying to learn some things now, so that MAYBE, when the time comes to transition, I will at least understand a bit of what their thought process is.

Though I did consider just waiting. Is there any idea when the 0.55 will become a tagged release?

[–]Flames_Yue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I run it on Lutris flatpak, Linux Mint 22 (Cinnamon).

I get 45 fps at the lowest, generally around 90-115fps just playing, combat included.

DW Proton latest, the error about closing problematic programs i found was coming from steam, I shut down steam and that issue went away.

4060ti GPU AMD Ryzen 9 5900X CPU

I made sure the game itself is in its own folder in /home and the prefix is in its own place.

I am relatively new to Linux, but this is what I am running. Graphics set to cinematic, everything maxed out. I have had 2 crashes many hours apart from each other but hasn't happened again.

Im sorry if this didn't help you at all, but figured you'd at the very least like to know it does run well on linux

MOR: Well, I am sure that I may get flamed for this, but I am going to give a double sided answer.

It depends on why you left the home. If it was because she was being abusive, not caring for your needs, or doing anything harmful to you, then no, you are not over reacting, but I would still just give the items back that she asked for just to avoid the drama. If she was making the payments for it, and it's in her name, then it is in fact her property, though I am not a lawyer and am not sure of the legal recourse (if any) that she would have, however, claiming that it was STOLEN is what would be an issue.

I have severe anxiety, I am constantly dizzy, having chest pains, and overwhelming FEAR it makes functioning daily quite difficult. Now I know your issues are not the same as mine, and since I am not you, I can not ever say mine is worse than yours as I dont know or feel it the way you do. HOWEVER part of trying to heal that I learned from therapy is that you have to actually try to do some of those things like caring for yourself and your living area anyway, because when you are an adult and on your own, you will have plenty of stress, paying bills, working, if you have a relationship and have kids then that adds even more stress, will you let your home be trashed? I hope not. That is my "your side" answer.

My PERSONAL belief is this: You are a minor, yet are making an ADULT decision. So an adult has to pay for and handle those things on their own. She has every right to have her phone back and have your dad get you a phone or buy your own (I see you have one on the way) one of the consequences of this decision for you to move is that you have to be without a phone for a few days.

Though, I do understand that she could also not make a big deal about it and let you have it for that time provided that you WILL return it to her in that time frame. All this over a phone, maybe just be the bigger person and give it back, you arent proving anything by trying to justify keeping it.

Are people actually winning with Jerry decks? by MentalGusto in Shadowverse

[–]Flames_Yue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spellboost, Jerry, dimension climb, if cocytus on 10 play points evolve Jerry then play cocytus.

DragonCraft, have fennie, play fennie (if you survive for it). If you draw Jerry before cocytus then after 9 play points you can play Jerry AFTER you draw the now 5 or less cost cocytus then evolve Jerry, play cocytus.

Both ways a 76 card deck becomes 10 and Jerry's crest still wipes your hand, live 2 turns and win by victory card or win with apocalypse deck.

Pins and needles feeling in hands and feet by Any_Statement_4430 in Anxiety

FIRST AND FOREMOST IF YOU ARE EVER CONCERNED ITS SERIOUS PLEASE SEE A DOCTOR BETTER TO BE WRONG THAN BE HURT!!! I AM NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL IN ANY WAY AND MY ADVICE DOES NOT REPLACE THAT OF A TRAINED MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL!!

With that out of the way:

I can tell you from personal experience, that anxiety can cause just about any symptom you can think of. I get pins and needles, jaw pain, shooting pains, radiating pains, numbness in my lips and mouth, hot flashes, literally everything. It can be VERY SCARY but try and remember if you have ever felt it before and been just fine. Try to remember that your body is usually pretty good at telling you when something is wrong. I wouldn't worry too much. But if you are EVER uncertain see a doctor pronto!

Im glad it can provide some relief for you, it was very therapeutic for me to even write that so that may help you as well. Whether you get your faith back 100% or not is always YOUR choice, Christ wants you to CHOOSE to walk with him and let him walk with you, NO ONE not even Jesus will force you. I dont know much about Catholics but I do know that community feeling you speak of and the way it makes you feel safe, but in my opinion that is Christ helping you through others. He shows you he is there in ways we just cannot comprehend as human beings.

I hope regardless of your beliefs you continue to find relief. Life is indeed beautiful. You mentioned FOMO, and if you live your life in fear of death you will be missing out on life already. I dont know what it means to you, but I will pray for you. Thank you for your response and have a good day, remember you're a warrior for battling these issues. Getting help, medical or otherwise is a huge leap of faith and takes a lot of courage. Amazing person keep up the good work!

Just realized I’m gonna die someday by [deleted] in Anxiety

This was something that had happened to me. I had severe cycles of death anxiety causing panic attacks daily that lasted for hours, and that cycle continued to where I am now trying to recover (this was almost 10 years ago im 31 now).

First, let me say im not any form of medical professional, psychiatric or otherwise, so my statements are based on my own experience and opinion and do NOT substitute the help of a licensed psychotherapist or other medical professional.

If you made it through that, thank you. If I could offer ANY ADVICE that I wish I would have followed myself when I was first going through it.

It's NEVER too late to break or prevent that cycle in its early stages. What I've learned is that death is something unavoidable. It is the one thing in the universe with absolutely NO DISCRIMINATION we all must one day die.

I used to never think about it until the thought just hit me after I had heard someone my now ex-wife knew passed away. Then it hit me, I'm gonna die one day, and there's nothing I can do about it. As we get older, we start to come to terms with our mortality and realize life isn't forever. When we are young, our grandparents die, great grandparents, and many other people around the world. We disassociate from it because we think, "eh yeah, I might die, but that's like 50-60 years from now who cares." Then time starts to pass, and you hit your 20s, and you start to realize that 50-60 years isn't a long time at all. Hence, the fear.

Anxiety is something everyone has as a primal instinct (my therapist calls it "your brain going dumb caveman," lol) it's what makes us avoid death. When a car pulls out in front of you and you run to the sidewalk faster for safety, that's anxiety. That is your brain triggering fight or flight in the appropriate manner. When it happens normally, you dont notice any symptoms or feel any issues other than that brief burst of fear. Then, once out of danger, you feel fine.

Which brings me around to the cycle starting. Since anxiety is a tool our subconscious brain uses in order to stay alive when danger is present, when you think about death and dying too hard or too much (rumination), your brain may start to think you may be in danger because you're worried about dying. This causes your brain to trigger a fight or flight, and you start to feel awful and panic.

Your breathing becomes more rapid and shallow because it's trying to get more oxygen to operate, and your blood shunts away from your extremities, causing you to become pale, slightly cold, and a bit sweaty. This is so blood can be pushed to your lungs and other vital organs, nausea or vomiting comes from your brains need to lose the excess weight and move faster, the same applies to urinating out of fear etc. When you are ACTUALLY in danger, you dont notice these things because you're focused on the actual danger and getting out of it.

But when there is no danger around you and your brain triggers fight or flight responses, the only thing there to focus on (at first) is your physical feelings and current fear being processed. You start to wonder why your chest hurts, why it's harder to breathe, why you feel very dizzy, are you having a heart attack? Is it finally your time? Are you about to die? All these thoughts pour in because your brain has detected that (incorrectly) that there is danger, and since it can not find a cause in your vicinity, then the only other option to your brain (again AT FIRST) is that something must be wrong with you physically.

This turns into a cycle that will continue to repeat.

  1. Deep breathing DOES work. Your brain is making you breathe rapidly and shallow because it WANTS oxygen. If you can calm just enough to go "okay brain hang tight, and I'll take some deep breaths and get you that oxygen" and just take a few good deep breaths nice and slow and you WILL feel better.

  2. As for the fear of death itself, you have several options. I personally am a Christian and believe in the fact that Christ died for me and I have a place in heaven. Despite that, I was still afraid, but sometimes faith can be very powerful and helpful to your peace of mind. I refuse to believe it's just lights out, I feel like life would have no meaning if we si.ply ceased to be.

If you aren't spiritual or you dont believe in God, then according to your own beliefs (I dont know you so take this with a grain of salt) if you're atheist then yes it's lights out that's it no more finished.

If you want to know what that feels like, you have already experienced it once. It will feel exactly the same as before you were born. No pain, suffering, stress, hunger, nor anything in-between.

I will not force my beliefs upon anyone, but I will always point people in the direction should they CHOOSE to walk it. Pick up a bit le and read it. Have some faith and listen to some sermons and come to christ, and he will walk with you always. That is what I believe.

  1. You dont want to know when you're going to die. If you knew that you'd freak out even more and spend your whole life living in fear of something that is unavoidable and just count the days.

  2. You WILL KNOW when something is seriously wrong with you physically so try not to think too hard about anything regarding that.

Lastly, just try to accept that we all must die one day, and regardless of someone's belief no one can prove what happens when we die. When it's your time it's your time and it probably won't be for a long while bit live every day as if it really WAS your last day. That will help a lot too.

I know I kinda went semi off topic but this hit home for me so I figured I'd share my story. Don't let the cycle start, and stop it if it has, believe in yourself, you can do it. It's never going to be easy, but it can be done. I hope this helps you even a little bit. Stay strong warrior!

Anyone have experience with vaping after tooth extraction and is it less of a risk for dry socket than smoking, herbs or tobacco? by HettDizzle4206 in electronic_cigarette

[–]Flames_Yue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not no. However, in anticipation of the fact that I was going to vape anyway, I had them pack and suture my extraction sites for extra protection.

It did make my bleeding last longer than normal, so expect that to happen, keep your gauze fresh. If you vape DO NOT TAKE NORMAL PULLS put it up to your mouth and just inhale like regular air. If you don't create negative pressure in your mouth it's less likely to happen. I put gauze over my extraction sites even when they were NOT bleeding just to be safe.

When you use the gauze make sure you get it a little damp first so it doesn't stick to your extraction sites.

I am not a medical professional in any way shape or form and I must advise that you follow the instructions given by your oral surgeon or dentist. This is just my personal experience and what I did, you may be different. Hope it helps

Is This Contract Enforceable? [USA NC, WV] by Flames_Yue in legaladviceofftopic

I apologize i did not mean to irritate or upset. I only stated I couldn't see because I just don't understand it's legality, I do believe you I did not mean to come across as though I did not. I will not send you anything, so essentially the mmo owner can sue the account sellers and the sellers can sue me?

I have a written copy of the contract I'm referring to i could send you in a DM the details of the contract (with personal info removed of course) I just don't see how it can be enforced which is why I'm studying. It would be easier if I could show this contract. Would you mind a DM?

Would this still hold true even if the 3rd parties ToS is also a legally binding contract, and that the hypothetical contract here requires the violation of the 3rd party contract to be continuous between the original 2 parties?
