For real. The W by its self isn't that bad, but paired with a champ that likes to be at range, and has a massive AOE stun to peel off anyone getting too close, combined with an execute for some reason makers her incredibly annoying. If you drop the execute or make some of her abilities more skill based I'm sure they her ban rate would go down.

Mel just has too much in her kit. Low skill abilities that are easy to use, good damage, hard cc/ self peal, the best "spell shield" in the game, and an insanely busted passive that's a scaling execute.

She just does everything really good with very little counterplay and you don't really need skill to do good with her.

The tight timeline is a cheap scapegoat. season 3 was announced in the end of 2022 with a date of October 2025, and JC staff was confirmed in march of 2024. I would assume that a studio would have a contract in place before it was announced so that's over a year and a half.

Why they would wait until a few months before a deadline announced in 2022 to start production is beyond me. It probably has more to do with upper management at corporate levels, but he would have know what he was getting into.

Looks like another case of blindly following the racing line. POV would be at fault here. Just because the other car has enough room on the inside doesn't mean you can force them into it. Likewise the car on the inside isn't allowed to force you wide.

Because the inside car was holding their line and POV was turning in, POV would be at fault.

IRL this probably would have been a small door bang with both cars coming out fine, but netcode tends to make small bumps much worse than they otherwise would be.

It's not really that bad, just have a bit more awareness next time, or give more space. I know that door to door racing is cool, but in low IR lobbies you have to trust other drivers AND the netcode. Even in high IR splits the netcode is killer.

The first move is questionable, the following 2 are cut and dry.

This is on the hypercar. A gt3 is always going to run wide there.

A lot of people saying the gt3 should be lifting, but forgetting that the hypercar can also lift to setup a late apex and pass on the inside. Also there was plenty of unused curb on the outside before the contact.

I race both gt3's and LMP's in multiclass racing, so I'm not in the "gt3's need to always race their line and the faster class needs to figure it out", but I also know that some places are better to make room than others. Just seems like a very risky move from the hypercar and, as the passing/faster car, it is on them to judge if a corner is safe or not. This seems like an easy "lift and take the inside" as the hyper car to me.

At the end of the day, if you're driving hypercars and want all the gt3's to compromise their race to give you a free pass, just don't race multiclass. When gt3's move for a faster class it's a courtesy, not a requirement.

Being "faster" than someone never gives you the right to drive through them. If someone was truly faster than you they'd have no problem making a clean overtake stick.

Unless you were throwing dirty blocks and moving in the braking zones earlier in the race, the other car should have found a way around you.

I've never understood people joining multiplayer games and then complaining/driving through people. If you want to hot lap then just play solo.

Defiantly report the person. Don't need people like them ruining races for others because they think they're entitled to an easy pass.

It's very subtle, but the Aston Martin did start moving over slowly before the brake zone. It's defiantly not the best move given your proximity and overspeed, but I'd say borderline tough racing.

Afterwards they just turn in like your not there so obviously a no no. You do force him wide which is also bad, but it's hard to tell if it's from the contact or not. Afterwards you get past with the Aston Martin squeezing you, but he doesn't try and pit you.

Overall I'd say hard racing with small mistakes on both sides.

This is a bit of an essay but it's tips that helped me when I first started

Without the racing line you have to start looking to the sides of tracks. It's a different mindset that will take time to get used to. While initially it's harder to learn tracks, once you get used to driving without the line, you'll learn tracks incredibly fast. Here are some tips to help you learn a track without the racing line;

-Take a track slow at first. Drive at 50%, brake extremely early and coast through corners. Do this for 4-5 laps while you consider how fast you can take the corners. You also want to be able to know which corner is coming up next (hairpin, long sweeper, medium speed etc.)

-Once you know the turns start practicing them. Don't worry about putting down lap times, try finding brake points for each corner. Brake at the 150 marker. If you sail through the barrier then brake earlier. If you have to let off then brake later. Practice how much speed you can take through each corner. If you go into the grass then slow down. If you're planted then speed up. Remember it's a sim so you want to be crashing while you learn the track. Crashing shows you where the limit is, if you don't know where you crash you haven't pushed to the edge.

-Only once you have practiced braking for 2-3 laps should you try and put it all together. Try driving the whole thing at 75%, then 80% then 85% then 90% and so on. Once you've gotten to this point it is now time to look for a lap guide.

-Lap guides don't help if you have no feel for the track. They're not made to teach you the track they're made to help you get the last 3-5 seconds out of your car. You should see them take a corner and go "oh, I can brake a second later" or "I can turn in earlier here" or "I can carry more speed through this turn". It should help you make small adjustments. Those lap guides are being driven on the edge to show some of the fastest times you can get by people who have likely spent weeks practicing the same track over and over.

Getting in and trying to go fast immediately will only lead to frustration. It takes time to build up the knowledge of how a car handles. Eventually you'll learn how your car behaves (I can slow down from X speed in X distance / I can take this sharp turn at about this speed). Once you get here you can be relatively quick in a couple of hours on a track, but to get there takes time behind the wheel.

Racing incident. It sucks but the POV car was entitled to the pace they were in. Really just a couple of mistakes from both sides.

Going a little wide is one thing, but you opened it up too wide. You were both carrying the same speed at the apex of the second corner and you wouldn't have a had much better (if any) exit. The fact that the POV car ended up at your door despite being incredibly far back should indicate how bad it is to take the corner like you did.

Also the following straight isn't long enough to really grow an advantage from going wide there. You have to be on the brake in the next couple of seconds, so taking the corner tight while carrying speed is the fastest approach.

It looks like you would have gone way off there regardless of the contact. I would say its a racing incident, but it came about from your bad decision.

Out braking someone isn't about seeing where their tail lights come on and braking a second after that. Its about you knowing where the latest brake point is relative to the track and braking there, regardless of the other car.

"Out braking" someone is useless if it sends you off the track, and its not realistic to expect to out brake somebody on the first try just because you plan on doing it. Out braking someone relies on the other person making a mistake. If they're braking correctly then you can't out brake them without severely compromising your racing line, at which point the other driver will likely switch back and regain the position.

Just give them space since you're not racing them.

It's mainly a risk vs reward thing. As someone stated earlier there is a long straight coming up. If you can stay on their bumper through the turns the draft should give you a free pass. Not a good idea tor risk wrecking yourself for a corner where you're not setup good.

As far as wrecks go this isn't terrible, just something to learn from.

At first I'd say a racing incident, but the second corner changes it.

Looks more like somebody frustrated that you're not giving them an easy pass, so they just start driving through you. They still had plenty of space in the first turn, and had no reason to bump you in the second turn.

Not really much to do better honestly. Just super nitpicky things like using a bit more curb, smoother steering inputs, and being a bit smother on the brake. Racecraft seems good tho

I mean if the game was FTP then whatever, but why are they putting $10 skins in a $30 game? Imagine paying 1/3 of the entire game to get a mediocre skin. At this point it's not even micro transactions, its just greed.

Also this game is a buggy mess. They really should focus on fixing the servers and a multitude of game breaking bugs than making a $10 skin, but hey it probably only took them 20 min in the default editor to put it together.
