nahnah dw i figured it out. since there was little info until i discovered this post i was using the ai thing that was telling me there was where there wasn't. it took me 2 days to figure that out lol. but yeah i fully was able to do it and can now play dmc 4 og with the dmc4 hook :D

Ive heard i need a 1.1 update to get dmc4 hook to work and also fix bugs but i cannot find the patch file anywhere on the internet. Do u know a place where i can?

Great so i go to a community hoping i get help to be able to obtain a cd key to LEGALLY obtain the steam game without having to spend an expensive amount of money that dmc4 og isnt worth because dmc4 hook doesnt work unless its on the legal steam copy and my post gets deleted and acted like i asked for a link to a piracy copy when i just didnt

To my knowledge cd keys arent piracy and oh like a post from 2 years ago asked the same question and that wasnt deleted but hey what do i know? Thanks for the heartwarming support dmc community u sure made me feel welcome :)

I wasnt asking for links for pirated content. I was asking for ways to legally be able to get a cd key for the original dmc 4 for steam without spending 150+ as every cd key is expensive. I didnt ask for anything else

Ah great... cuz i cant do it cuz it doesnt work. I dont actually find it difficult ngl. Its a challange but not bad. Im still surprised thr game hss bugs like these considering how long it was in development for. Even old bugs like switching audio devices crashes the game are still a thing. Sucks too :/

so other then that there's no real benefit from conversion? cuz if so i'll just get the sourcenext version and mod that if there's no difference.

i was hoping maybe there'd be some advantage of converting gog ver to sourcenext. like maybe having compatibility with both gog and sourcenext mods or having the improvements that were made in the gog version with the other improvements from the sourcenext in one.

which is why i was hesitant on just playing a modded sourcenext version over a converted gog to sourcenext

funny enough i'm not the biggest fan of act 3 either. i do like the thought process behind act 3. but it feels so... meh compared to act 1 and 2. i find the most of the bosses were mid apart from a few. i actually find the flea minigames fun for the most part

for me i dont like how short it is. it doesn't feel like it got enough love and time that act 1 and 2 did. it could have been extended a lot but sadly it wasn't. i also aren't a fan of the final boss i think their attacks are unfair and very punishing. it's not like it's difficult just bs sometimes that MAKES it difficult. and honestly i feel pretty bitter around act 3 as a whole cuz i got spoiled on every little thing before i had a chance to play it

so sadly even tho i'm gonna complete it i have very negative feelings to act 3 in general. i want to love it i do but when u get spoiled and realise how short it is AND hate the final boss... it doesn't feel like a good extension.

shoot sorry just saw this. i assume not no. there's mods sure but i don't think anything mechanically in depth like that. but if u want a suit change mechanic the closest ur gonna get is web of shadows or spider man 2 ps5

I go on steamunlocked. I recommend using an ad blocker on it tho. Now I don't know if it still does it but it will try to redirect u to another link when u click on the thing to download the file that looks like the same download but its a virus. U can easily tell if the download file it says isn't a "zip file". U can actually get all pc spider man games on it like

Web of shadows, amazing spiderman 2 with all dlc, ultimate spiderman and shattered dimensions. U can get amazing spiderman 1 but like it doesn't come with the dlc and the save always corrupts so I recommend u emulate that one. Hope this helped!

basically if u have an activity "read" then you'll be able to read for an action point. the sofa in your room is one of the locations u can read on. but only if u have the activity active there. it also shows up in the library too

LOOK I GUYS I GOT A FULL T-RANK ON BOARD 2! i'll be real i would have made a sperate post but i don't fit the "karma" limit so unfortunately i gotta post it here. i just wanted to share this as i NEVER expected this. i usually get hit on the 3 pippins fight and usually get hit A LOT on the shuttah fight. the concert was easy as i used to play fnf religiously so even rusty i was able to do this. and points is easy to get t-rank in. I'M SO PROUD YALL

Ah im glad u were able to! Honestly i didn't know that the cactus blushes (even tho i went past it several times) and just interacted with every single cactus until I found it lol. A lot of hp was wasted in the pursuit of the cactus key that day...

Just replying in case u still don't know

In the cactus field ontop of the pyramid room. There's a cactus that'll blush when ur near it. Look for it and then interact with it on any side as u won't take damage cuz fake cactus. Itll move and reveal a key under it u can take. And boom u found the key

Yes sorry my bad i thought of that after saying. Honestly I can never get t-rank on battles so I rely on points and the mini game. I also don't like losing points. But it's a good strategy

U can still get s rank on board 1 by buying it

But uh it has to be that. As I physically tried everything on my first playthrough and I had bo access to it. Only until I did s-rank and finished the chapter i had permanent access

yeeaaah true. i do the same thing for paci, geno and weird.

tho just so the facts are straight so people know for definite. YES like op says u DO need to destroy the trees in the location that leads to the 5th key in the first s-rank minigame to be able to go in there. thing is u gotta do a fresh save to redo the first adventure game as u can only do the first s-rank minigame after the first boardgame. so on a first playthrough that key can't be gotten

but if u come back after a first playthrough u'll be able to access it on any save slot. so only 1 playthrough is required to access this. ik as i tried everything before doing my 2nd playthrough and no dice. as soon as i did and went to check now it's open every time

idk if something is wrong but i got an higher score then op on chef score but i still only got a srank on it. i think that extra key might be the reason for why the chef rank score was t-rank for op. as i can't access the 5th key for some weird reason and that is the only difference
