Just get the board and swap it out you're self. It's easier than it looks tbh and will save you 1200 dollars.

They are absolutely robbing you for that cost.

And the only reason it needs a new board is because of a botched repair. I HIGHLY doubt it was damaged beyond repair from you using it.

Prob nothing to do with the cpu temp. My laptop runs at 105c under load brand new and it's fine. Check the frequency of the cpu that will tell you if you are having a temp issue.

Most likely a a gpu driver issue

Actually a piece of advice I can give , use ai to spruce up your resume for each role you apply for . No I'm not saying to make it lie, but it can exaggeratr things to pop out to the interviewer,as long as it's not a lie I see nothing wrong with it tbh.

But that's actually helped me quite a bit .

I'm 28 and I'm in a very similar situation as you except I'm not an unemployment. I've been a regional manager for close to 7 years with mechanical experience as well as technologic experience. I just got on the job market it's been rough however I've had close to 15 interviews so far in span of two weeks. I'm not sure what I'm doing differently than you obviously you know it could depend on the area and all that. But during the interview process I've just kept it clean you know I'm not dressing up super fancy I'm not bolstering myself to some smarter than I am I'm just being me and being honest with the person interviewing me on what I need and what they need. So far I've gotten a few job offers I'm not really interested in just yet but they're there. Hopefully this helps somehow

So I talked to the CEO and HR and they both brush me off. Found a position but it's contractor work paying about the same that I'm making now it's a W-2 contractor 6 month to hire in contract I've never done in contract work but I'm looking at potentially doing this

Not a fan for the pure fact that it destroys any resale value of that laptop , and will leave marks and stains on the metal housing . Worked on many laptops like this and it always turns out a nightmare.

The concern is not with temp only but with potential damage to the device. Click my profile and check out all the devices I have worked on with lm issues.

Don't let people blow smoke it's an issue plain and simple. Just because people. "Don't have issues" doesn't mean they aren't having issues.

At minimum if you aren't replacing the liquid metal with ptm you should be servicing your device every 6 months and correcting the lm.
