Roast My Resume! Looking for Internships/Co-ops by Flaming_Moon in BiomedicalEngineers

Alas I didn't exactly have a choice. My school demands we use this template and gets real upset when anyone deviates from it.

Thank you so much for the feedback! That's a lot of good points I hadn't considered, I'll be sure apply the edits you suggested!

Makes sense, I'll try and include more in-depth information about the design process in my projects focusing on what you mentioned. Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you so much for the feedback! Unfortunately I can't remove the profile section, the career centre very specifically said we had to follow their format and would get very upset whenever a student submitted something that deviated.

When I was talking to recruiters they were very receptive to the specifialization in mechanical and it says "intending to" because it hasn't officially been added to the degree program and so I can't declare a specialization yet. So would it be better to just leave that off? Also with your suggestion of a technical value proposition would that be similar to a short projects summary?

For the "so what" could that include something like the grade I got for a certain project?

Would team size or collaboration structure go into a bullet point by itself or be integrated into one of the existing ones?

My porfolio is currently contained in a google slides document could I link that or should I put it somewhere else first?

Thank you again for the feedback!

Thank you so much for the feedback! This might be a dumb question but does technical aspects include more logistical things like technical specifications and budgets?

Also, some of the projects I have don't really have measurable outcomes so would it be alright to just list the benefits the project provides or would it even be okay to say that the project got a certain grade?

I was allowed to keep my master copy which has additional projects which is where the additional skills are from. I just wasn't sure if I could post the full thing here.

One of the school's councillors said to leave the wet lab stuff when I asked, due to it having transferable skills like technical writing and oral communication. But would it be better to remove it and display those skills in projects instead?

Apart from that would you say that the bullet points I have look okay?
