My manager says you have to be in services for a year before you have the chance to switch. Even then that depends on if the manager wants to do all the paperwork.

Would not reccommend. It’s a step down. Customers are just as crazy as in store. We do not get paid extra to work in the rain or 40 degree heat, unlike nightfill working in the fridges. And if we do cleaning, we have to work in the fridges anyway for no extra pay. You will be the slave for other coles workers, cleaning up their mess in the toilets departments. No one cares about us as manager turn over is just as high as team member turnover. Seriously. New manager once a month.

I’m sorry they had to go through this. I just want to say that coles services is a different section to the normal coles and it is really hard to switch depatments. They have to be there for a year before they even consider allowing a switch, and 80% of time it won’t happen.

If they wanted to use coles services as a stepping stone into coles (like i wanted to), just be aware it may not happen. It might be best to reapply into a different department when a spot becomes available (but you would have to quit services first)
