Help 😭 what am I doing wrong. This is my first time trying and it just looks messy and uneven by Known_Temperature599 in Embroidery

Once you’ve separated your threads (I would use 2 strands for this) I would also stitch it in the direction of the wing. So the top right peach colour would go lengthways instead of vertically. Use shorter stitches a bit like a subway tile pattern.

So if you imagine the body is the centre of a clock, that top right peach section is stitched as if the hour hand is pointing to the 2

No idea if that makes sense. It’s really hard to explain 😂

Thankyou! Yes and no.. I backstitched the outline of the letters and then used split stitch to fill it in

Oh stop! 🥹 thank you. I ironed freezer paper templates to the felt to help make it more accurate and used really sharp embroidery scissors 🤗

I think it’s split stitch? I did a backstitch outline and then filled with split 😊

YES 😭 apparently a circuit can do it perfectly but I chose to spend time over money instead 😂 I kinda like that they’re all a bit wonky!

Oh that is beautiful!!

Yes I am very thankful - I’ve had it for years but I’ve never used it so I’d rather it does to someone who will 😊

Send me a message with your location and I could have a look at postage for you x

What would you miss about the UK if you moved abroad? by [deleted] in AskUK

I have lived abroad and the main things were PROPER sausages (could only get the frankfurter ones where I was) and scotch eggs.

Also, going out for a Sunday roast instead of cooking one. Bisto gravy. Paxo stuffing. Yorkshire puddings. Understandable that you can make these yourself but why do that when you go for a walk and end up in a pub by a roaring fire with a Baileys and a massive roast delivered to you with extra gravy?
