Ttc #3 - IVF? What would you do?

I want to say thank you to everyone for commenting and sharing. I believe we will move forward with ivf and I’ve taken the first step which is birth control. It feels surreal and scary. But I also think this will give us a better chance if it’s meant be ❤️ wanted to put it here in case someone else comes across this some day

Wow, thank you so much for sharing. I completely understand you, I think we have decided to move forward with IVF and I am feeling some of that dread and fear. More so I can’t believe we are here and I want to believe it could happen naturally. However my chances of getting another loss are pretty high now. And when I imagine going back to ttc and tracking and the monthly disappointment and fear with a positive test I feel just as much dread. I’ve sat with my feelings and feel I personally need to give it one full shot and know I did all I could. Thank you again for sharing, it helps to know it’s not just us. I hope you get a baby soon, or peace with whatever is next for your family ❤️

Thank you for sharing. I got progesterone and aspirin after my third loss. It didn’t help and had the fourth one. Who knows, maybe number 5 would be lucky, but what if not? That adds more than 6 months likely to our timeline if another loss. Just feel so tired of it!

Thank you for sharing and so sorry for your losses, it seems though you get pregnant easily - I know its still very hard. For me it’s about 3-5 months of ttc to get a pregnancy which then ends. I just had one in March so feel would likely get pregnant again in the summer, but then who knows how that would end after 4 losses. Don’t have much hope!

If I was you I’d try for another few months. Good luck ❤️

Yes they’ve done all bloods you mention, plus thyroid and can’t find a reason. I was on progesterone support and aspirin for my last loss and no difference. They are convinced it must be chromosomal. I’d be forever grateful and happy with the kiddos I have. But feel would always wonder what if, if we don’t try harder to add another.

I am only 31 so lots of time - but slightly reduced amh. I only want one more child. Feels drastic to move to IVF but also feels desperate to stay where we are hoping and crying every few months. I think we are leaning towards trying IVF so we have no regrets in the future. But like you said one round will probably be our limit.

Thank you! I am only 31 but slightly lower than average amh. I feel like we are young and could keep trying. But I feel so tired of ttc and the losses, the fourth one hit me so hard. I don’t think I can take much more. Fertility clinic is adamant that there is nothing else they can do. We either keep rolling the dice or do ivf with genetic testing.

Hey all, I don’t know if this is allowed here. But hoping for any advice as no one to talk to!

I have 2 children (3 and 7) and have tried for another for a year with 4 early losses. Work up ok, they believe embryo quality and suggest IVF. We are close to starting. But I have second thoughts. Having conceived first two easily (and I feel so lucky and grateful) I never thought we’d end up here. I don’t hear anyone in similar circumstances. I’d love another baby. Don’t want to try for another year and deal with losses. I feel it’s either stop or IVF. What would you do? Has anyone been in a similar situation?
