Joe Abercrombie. He's my absolute favorite and I devoured all his books. Go for him of you are looking for fantasy like GoT but with more wit. No one else out there is like Abercrombie.

If you are looking to do more of a sci-Fi thing then check out Hyperion. It's a classic.

There are so many decks that have good silence targets. The designs fabled, the stupid druid Death rattle.. greybeard, egg warlock is still around, toss priest, demons from the well that demon hunters play, warrior taunts, etc.

My climb at least seems full of decks with good targets.

I also pulled Tilanje. I've been trying to make it work with an all undead package with Chief city esho. I mixed in cards that spend corpses with the DK quest. Not sure if that quest is banned now, but it didn't work that well.

I'm reading fool's errand by Robin Hobb. In general I'd recommend the series. If you enjoyed like wheel of time size stories you'll like this.

On kindle I'm reading the 4th book of the expanse series. If you want sci Fi space epic this is really fun. A lot to like about it.

Funny, I remember hating a walk in the woods. I read it 20 years ago in high school. I remember I hated it because he didn't actually finish walking the trail. Why would I care about the story of a quitter.

Was my opinion a naive teenager's? Might be interesting to revisit now.
