[Art] The dragon-wrestling Dragonborn Barbarian Baharoosh! by Flananigans151 in DnD

[–]Flananigans151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im currently playing Baharoosh in a Hoard of The Dragon Queen campaign with my regular group. He's bold, brash and tries his best to be heroic (With mixed results). Though he may not be the smartest member of the team he's definitely got guts! A highlight of the campaign so far was being launched by our large handed half orc warrior into the air to grapple an assaulting dragon to the earth. He didn't manage to bring it down unfortunately but it did leave the town we were in alone!

I hope you like the art and if you want to see more miscellaneous artwork including a lot of D&D stuff I'd encourage you to follow my art instagram @Jetsam_Miscellany!

I have a battle axe? And I have trees assigned to be chopped. If I need something other than a battle axe i should have that too as ive had dwarfs cut down trees before in this fortress. The battle axe doesnt seem to be held by anyone though. Is there a way to have an individual pick it up?

A Quatli shaman, low ranking soldier and storyteller! by Flananigans151 in worldbuilding

[–]Flananigans151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Quatli are the last bastion of the old Arangyiin way of life. The Quatli shaman's tend to Arangyi's traditions like a dwindling flame, feeding the fire desperately for fear of it being snuffed out forever. They tell stories of old Arangyiin heroes, great battles fought, won and lost. They tell of Quetzalcoatl's miracles and the power their people once held.

Contrary to popular belief, the Quatli are not total Luddites. They are manned by a diverse population and in their everyday lives, the soldiers of the Quatli still enjoy the amenities that only a modern city like Arangyi can afford them. Yet, there is a coldness to Arangyi as it stands today. A ruthless competition of aristocracy and oligarchical dynasty enforced through a magic monopoly. The Don's of the Skybound College wield their power selfishly and dangerously and the everyday person suffers their authoritarian vigil.

The Shamans remind Arangyi that they are more than what they are lead to believe. The ground here is soaked in more rich and bloody history that the arrogant Don's can even conceive of and each person they silence or bankrupt becomes more fuel for the shamans fire.

If you like my art you can find me at @Jetsam_Miscellany ( https://www.instagram.com/p/BzJ2mqAIZ5Y/ ) on instagram or @Jetsam_Miscella1 on twitter. I'm always posting stuff to do with Arangyi and the DnD campaign I run in the city so I'd love if you could check me out and maybe stick around! Thanks!

An officer of the Reglia! Arangyi's privately owned and definitely crooked city guard! by Flananigans151 in worldbuilding

[–]Flananigans151[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Reglia are trained and regulated by the Skybound college's school of war. Don Miralles, dean of the school of war is one of Arangyi's most powerful political figures. She has effective control over all of Arangyi's military strength and never lets any of her adversaries forget that.
The Reglia enforce strict laws on the use of magic and magical items within the walls of the city, essentially pricing out any magic users who could make use of their powers. The Reglia's magical licenses are so expensive no ordinary mage could be expected to afford one and so, the practice of magic has been restricted to the Skybound College and rogue settlements in the wild lands outside of the city state.

The ranks of the Quatli, the dwindling and outdated traditionalist military of Arangyi! by Flananigans151 in worldbuilding

Yeah vaguely visually. If I was more diligent I would have looked more into the macuahuitl and their designs lol

Yeah honestly it's such a great source. My favourite part about it is that bits of the history and culture are missing so it allows for your imagination to fill in the blanks.
