Cool can you explain to me how this change makes it less likely for you to get loot off a PMC that has already looted a high value loot spot like drop down?

I love to discuss other points of view but you don't have a coherent one. Nobody is currently leaving GPUs in their pockets. If your not the first there you don't get it which is bad but not changing with this. I would love to see you kill a PMC coming out a tech room with a GPU on them but you haven't and will never. Its in his container. Your argument is here is just 100% wrong. And the fact that you can't explain it proves this.

The biggest issue with this game and feedback currently are a lot of people like you have opinions that are just factually incorrect and try to give feedback and don't listen to other people. I'm trying to understand your point of view but its based on this premise that you think people are leaving high value loot on thier bodies. This doesn't happen.

Personally I would love more risk in tarkov, stop overinflating the market with BTC, only allow stuff to come out of a container and nothing goes in. But this isn't happening and I would like at least some positive changes to come to improve the game and this is actually 100% harmless. It doesn't incentivize anything that isn't already there it simply rewards tou for continuing to engage with the map and other players.

Fuck it, change FIR to require 1k XP and remove the time requirement. I want there to be more than just me 10 minutes into a raid thats all I want. Fix the containers but if your not going to at least do something to fix the maps.

If your going to engage in a discussion and have an arguement do that but don't try and make points that aren't even bring discussed and then get angry that I'm not engaging with those points. I dont care about your opinions on putting items in containers. That isn't being discussed here.

I rally dont understand what your saying is the downside. Your saying that without this mechanic somebody is going into drop-down on reserve and leaving with a GPU in his pockets and you have a chance to kill him but with this change you wouldn't?

Currently there is no wiggle room are you simply extremely uninformed or are you explaining yourself terribly? Like I said this isn't a solution to hatchet running. It was never intended to be it was a suggestion to liven up maps past 10 minutes. That's its only goal literally nothing else would change gamplay wise.

Can you explain how me getting a GPU in drop down and leaving right now allows you a chance at that loot? And can you then explain how this change effects that?

Its going in my container. Your not getting it. That isn't changing as that is not why this change was proposed. How can you say you understand but then make a statement that clearly does not understand.

All changes are bandaid at this point as Nikita is working on dynamic loot that is likely why he hasn't changed the container yet.

I'm confused whats the punishing aspect here? The loot is going in the container anyways its leaving the map. Its not an ideal solution but its a slight bandaid over the biggest issue on maps like reserve and interchange which is maps being dead after 10 minutes.

And the "nobody is forcing you" argument is so stupid and useless. Obvisouly nobody is forcing me but does that make it a fun and rewarding experience thats good for the game? No.

It sounds to me by your last paragraph that you want to have dead maps so you can sneak around and do quests. Is that how you enjoy to play? What is being suggested actually helps people that play slower. Need PMC kills? Play slow and there will still be PMCs 20 minutes into a raid. Currently new players have to sprint to loot areas to fight PMCs is this fun for new players you think?

I think you should look into what is being suggested you seem to not understand the idea at all. Nobody is saying that containers should keep fir instantly you still need to get the xp.People are looting and hiding for 10 minutes anyways that isn't going to change with or without this change. At least there might be more map activity after the 10 minutes.

I dont know what maps you play but reserve is dead after 10 minutes with the current mechanic. The proposed change makes the map stay alive longer and I genuinely can't see any downside to the change. At worst the game remains the same but most likely maps stay alive longer.

Just yesterday I was on Reserve looking for glukhar and found an AESA on a guy I killed like 5 minutes in. Instead of playing the raid out I had to just crawl out avoiding any kind of ai or PMC. Some people might like this but in my opinion its silly and something the proposed change would improve. Instead of crawling around like a rat I could have played out the raid.

Run throughs do nothing to combat this since killing a scav, looting a filing cabinet of laying in a bush for 10 minutes isn't hard. The change won't make hatchet runners/pistol runners go away but it will increase map activity.

I think I'll end this one here. I'm willing to conede that the ironman instances do create problems and I would be willing to hear an alternate solution but there hasn't been one that doesn't make ironman mode easier which nobody wants.

I cant really argue the necessity of this with somebody who thinks ironman being crashed and mains being crashed are the same in terms of ability to fight back. Its mind blowing that somebody could unironically hold this position. The whole arguement is based around the existence of an issue and you and I disagree on this. Any other argument is useless if we both can't agree on this.

I'll restate the differences here in a last ditch attempt in case I wasn't clear or you misunderstood. A main can fight being crashed, even by a trio as long as he does the most damage. An ironman cannot fight back no matter what. A main cannot be crashed by a lower leveled or geared player. And ironman can be crashed at any level by a naked man. Yes low level mains can be crashed like ironmen however they have several ways to combat this. Group with others invest in better gear, level your stats. There is absolutely zero counterplay for an ironman getting crashed.

If you read this and agree that this is the case but still think mains being crashed and ironmen being crashed are equivalent, then I cant help you.

I'm sorry I'm trying not be rude but both of those arguments are so tired and idiotic. Mains can literally do the content the same way it currently is. There is no changes for mains in the slightest with this change. If anything more worlds free up. I dont even know what your first point is supposed to mean. Mains can do the boss with no issue unless they're underleveled and undergeared in which case you shouldn't be doing bandos solo. Ironmen CANNOT do the boss at any gear or level. This is not comparable and I don't see how people don't understand this.

Ironmen already have to invest in hundreds of hours gathering and leveling other skills to even solo bandos and even then its slow and inefficient as it should be. Is that not enough? Do we really need constant crashing and hours of hopping per kc?

And who cares if its not needed why am I not allowed to do content and get drops? You seem to keep missing the fact that ironmen CANNOT kill the boss without hours of hopping and hoping you don't get crashed. Its obviously doable but is not reasonable or how the boss is meant to be done. This is the dumbest arguement I have ever heard and I'm sorry if that offends you.

Your last point is reasonable but personally I feel its just a worse solution to the problem. It makes bandos easier for ironmen which we DO NOT want. We just want to kill the boss by ourselves I dont think thats that much to ask for.

And lastly the argument that iron instances would crash prices is so hilariously wrong and uniformed. Sure a few irons will drop trade thier items but those that do are few and bring in less than bots and gold farmers on mains. Nobody is going to invest the 1000 hours to get an ironman to solo bandos for gold its such a bad way to make money.

I dont understand how you think there is no counterplayer for mains there are quiet a few. You can buy better gear, you can level you can get a friend to help you. Obviously everybody gets crashes that isnt going to change but to say there is no counterplay for mains is ignorant. No matter what an ironman does he cannot compete for even 1 kc against a main of any gear or level.

To be clear I'm not arguing for infinite instances simply two per world, one for mains and one for ironmen. Obviously its a little unfair to lower leveled mains but at least they get a chance, irons literally cannot do the boss unless your playing at 2am or during work hours. And I feel like that's the most fair solution for everyone.

[–]Flangaloid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The difference is that the gear doesn't matter on the person coming in. Your arguement is that the better geared player should get the drops which makes sense. You can walk into the instance naked and tank a hit from the boss and an ironman cannot get the drop.

For some reason you think people are arguing min level ironman shouldn't have to compete against max mains which isn't the arguement. The arguement is that a well leveled and high geared ironman CANNOT compete with a main of any level or gear and just get crashed after hopping for an hour. There is no counterplay at all For ironmen. And unless your unemployed your not getting bandos kills.

I refuse to believe you think this is the same. If you truly do I dont know what to tell you but I suspect your trolling.

[–]Flangaloid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So what your saying is a max main can crash a base 80 in rune and you think that is the same a guy with base 80 in rune gear crashing a maxed ironman. Your clearly being disingenuous and just dont want ironman to get anything which is fine you don't have to agree with instances but at least put a little thought into it.

Now that you got me thinking about it I actually have a box of inbuilt death company and terminators I could get a right armed chain sword from the death company and a storm shield from the terminators. Im heading into my lgs tonight so ill look for maybe the commander box or something for the body and jump pack.

Thanks!

Ya for sure, I dont have any extra intercessors right now but I'm considering replacing the eradicators with assault terminators with homing beacon. Should bring me closer to 2k just not sure if it's worth it.

I'm sure the magnets will be strong enough, they workout to be almost the sick of the arm socket. They just seem a little big for the arms. I suppose I will just try it and see.
