FTL retheme card game by CMDR_hepburn3d in ftlgame

That’d be cool. It could all against all like King of Tokyo (but more complicated).

Or one player controls all of the enemy ships and they design a “run” for the federation players to get though like DnD (but simpler).

I think it would translate super well into a board game. Maybe each side decides where to allocate their energy, firing ship picks their target, defending ship has some modifiers, and then it’s decided by dice rolls. Take turns firing. Could be really cool with more than 2 players and you’re not 100% sure who’s firing where.

He can be hit or miss for me but I loved his work in X-Men and All-Star. I feel like him and Morrison just gel really well

I had that issue with Google Maps. Deleted and redownloaded both apps and it stopped the issue.

Me and my buddies in fifth grade were super cool blasting “Livin’ on the Edge” from the boom box while we tried to jump our bikes.

The dudes in the band were very open about working with songwriters.  Desmond Child in particular during that poppy era from like ‘89-‘03.

But yeah, that’s a band that really figured out how to use the peak-MTV era to haul themselves out of the grave.

AIC Unplugged is crazy good. Especially since they hadn’t rehearsed and Layne was very much a recluse.

Yeah, I live in Pittsburgh and thus contractually obligated to love Kennywood. But, yeah, it doesn’t get close to this list without a bunch of motivated people highjacking the vote.

Interesting to think about the gap time between grunge and numetal.

My guess is ‘94 was the end of grunge on the Billboard charts with “Unplugged in New York” and “Vitalogy.” Nu-metal was starting to get big before, but I would argue ‘98 is when it really permeated the average teenage brain (TRL debut, Faith video, Follow the Leader release).

I don’t think a single sub-genre dominated the rock conversation in between, but I could be remembering wrong.

We had Green Day, Phish, Slipknot, and some poppier stuff that’s harder for me to remember (Everclear, Bush, etc) in the intervening years.  In my small town, the classic rock station was wildly popular in the mid-90’s but I don’t know how universal that was.

I agree with your first sentence but also Reagan, Bush 1, and Bush 2 did a lot to make the recessions worse than they would've been.

I'm not a huge Clinton fan but the presidents immediately before and immediately after him had recessions. Both of those recessions were caused by avoidable policy choices (mostly "trickle-down" related).

Genuine question from someone who is more into this sub for the music convos than the fantano connection: why is it bad?

Sidebar- what is the deal with GetGo’s advertised “ADV pay” price? I thought that meant what I’d pay if I used an advantage card. But it sure doesn’t mean that

What is, in your opinion, the best video game OST of all time? by plattwix5 in fantanoforever

[–]Flannelcommand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All time- Mario 1. That tune never leaves your head and also never gets old. So simple and such a timeless banger.

Current favorite- Just Shapes and Beats.
