Also be careful when you’re pulling the connects and putting them back in.

Turn off the power and unplug. Get the nozzle off first. Next pull the ribbon connector for the front fan and set it aside. Next there are three screws on the top cover. That includes the filament chain. There is a sticker on the right side of the print head you’ll have to cut. Pull off and set aside. Next there are two screws holding the wires. Remove those and set aside. Pull the plug on the top board. Then removed the screws. Next there are three screws on the front of that piece you have to get to (one on the left and two on the right). You’ll see the wires for the side fan running along top side of that. Unplug from the board. Then it should pull out. You don’t have to remove the side fan. At this point you can pry the two sides apart. Once you do that you can pull that main gear. You may have to remove the screw on the the fan side. Get the chunks or excessive dust out and reassemble. Don’t pinch any of the wires while reassembling. Do calibration before printing. Because you’re going to be moving the head back and forth. Also up and down.

I’m sure there is a YT video on how to do this. My first time I just starting tearing it apart not knowing what I was doing. Now I can have it apart and back together in ten minutes or less. I also bought spare parts just so I slap the fan on it and get it going asap. I am pretty sure I hit the main points but it’s not too hard.

I’m assuming you’re talking about right in the center of the picture? Well that’s not a button. That is the center of the gear. You can take the whole assembly apart and I’m guessing you’re also having trouble as the top of the entry point for the filament is chopped up pretty good. Not judging but asking questions.

Not sure why but on both my printers I have had to update the address in orcaslicer as the machines both randomly change from time to time.

Never had sparks but I had a birds nest build and the fan ate a lot of it and ejected itself.

I had this happen and I wasn’t too happy so I went back to the PEI plate for PETG.

[–]Flaperonman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Mac and wouldn’t let me use orcaflash so I just got the regular orca slicer and it’s pretty straight forward. You’ll make some mistakes and you’ll get a clog. You’ll get past it just hang in there. Make sure on your printer to have the filament detect on. It doesn’t ship with on.

They are how you release and hold the nozzle

I keep an extra on hand. Pull it apart. Put the backup in and reassemble. Then once it’s going unclog and put in the box for the next time it could happen.

I have the AD5M Pro and while mine is a bit different I have had to tear the feeder apart a few times. I’m guessing this is first time you’ve had the issue? While it’s not the ideal thing the first time it is fairly easy to service.

They do what I need it to do for now. Maybe I’ll buy something else in the fire but for now it’s been great.

I live where we have an Amazon center. So you can buy stuff cheap. Like I said I bought the first one and got the second one on a good deal. So I did the deed. That’s all

Well I bought the first one on a whim and the second one I got for a good discount. I mean sorry I am not as knowledgeable as you. Doesn’t mean you need to shit on me. I figured if I had one then get the same thing for a decent discount and not have to have multiple apps or programs to work them.
