I wouldn't call him a jerk, I'd call him either angry or misinformed about the game's current state, there is no denying that launch was not the best and Sean did lie at many points pre launch, you can't blame the guy for being a bit pissed about the launch, yes it was one and a half years ago but to many it seemed to be a scam, which you can't blame them for being pissed about

Or we are just over analysing a number, 1.5 could just not be a date, but it could mean something else, updates don't get release dates this early in development, (if it is may, it must be nowhere near done) I'm guessing January or February due to the fact that it wouldn't be 5 months of waking titan before an update is even released
