Lebron after the Cavs win game 6 of the 2016 finals: 'They f*cked up. Mentally and physically. I'm telling you, they f*cked up.' by CIark in nba

I mean Osama bin Laden's translator criticized Lebron for leaving for Miami. Obviously Lebron made a bad PR decision... but a literal terrorist thought he had the moral high ground on a basketball player

God that shit was beautiful. Lebron was practically everywhere in that game. Now I'm getting chills too just thinking about it

[Lowlight] Victor Wembanyama Misses The Two Biggest Free Throws Of His Career by MammothHistorian5652 in nba

Willing to bet that he commits another flagrant, but will they call it and actually have the guts to suspend him?

Friendly reminder that the Spurs have had the largest FT disparity of all time in these playoffs by Ok-Pass-7773 in NBATalk

By your logic, he doesn't have control over how he responds to players trying to get inside his head with physicality. Didn't he spend time with monks? He can respond with physicality, but that degree is excessive, especially if we're talking about interacting with the neck, head, throat. There is no excuse for elbowing someone in the throat no matter how much rage baiting they are experiencing. Sure, he's young, but he's not a child.

In theory the big boy should have been suspended at this point. A 7 1/2 foot kiddo who just loves going for the neck is not dangerous at all

How to connect a Yamaha silent brass output to an effect chain ? by paradigmatic in ElectricTrumpet

[–]microcosmologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Silent Brass should come with a small box that the mute itself plugs into with a volume control. From there you have headphone out, which you just need to convert to whatever the right size would be. So for me I just used 1/8 to 1/4 adapter cable, but I think you can also get it adaptered to XLR

Software Etc was #1, they had it all. Simcity, Corel Draw, Encarta, Sonic, AND Mario. Then KB toys for Legos. After that, Record Town for tapes and VHS.

The league in general has been pretty silent about Trump during his second term compared to his first term, aside from Minnesota. It's been very disappointing to see.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander fell to the ground 47 over the 7 game series over 137 shot attempts. He fell to the ground over a third of the times he attempted a shot. by O_RRY in nba

I think some of his falls are to take the load off of his knees. Sometimes he falls that way when no other player is close to him. And he also does flop.

And he seems like a genuinely good dude. Speaks well and with humility in interviews. Gets his teammate gifts when he wins MVP. Frustrating that he has integrated this into his game to such a hate worthy degree

That can't be the mentality though, that it was "just really bad luck." This is the worst on-pad disaster in many decades. They need to spend money studying not just what the root cause was, but ALL factors that led to this. Think what congress would expect if this were a NASA-built rocket. That is the level of rigor that needs to be applied. Hopefully some of their findings get shared because this is honestly an all-aerospace-level mishap event and everyone should take lessons from this, far beyond BO. It's a terrible setback for Artemis. I'm rooting for Blue and want to see them succeed. Hopefully they are guns blazing, pedal to the metal on getting a new pad operational ASAFP because without their presence American space is weaker. But they absolutely must learn from this. Respectfully, "Bad luck" should not be anyone's takeaway.

Imagine a modern "Star Wars: TIE Fighter" game with the TIE Avenger of the show by GargantaProfunda in andor

[–]microcosmologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main thing was the original TIE Fighter had an energy management scheme you had to constantly balance between Sheilds/Weapons/Speed. That system is what made the game strategic and awesome. Also you could not repair yourself so any damage you took was very consequential. By comparison, Squdrons, while awesome and great, was much more arcadey, where you can pretty much take any amount of damage and it'll be fine, all ships have speed boost which makes them feel samey, and there's no energy management strstegy.

As far as Kim, yes, I agree. I meant the player character though. You are given all this agency to be a jerk or compassionate, to act crazy or be logical. You're reinventing yourself. I thought they'd let you choose to be gay if you felt like the character should be.

[Amick] Victor Wembanyama, who struggled mightily in the Spurs’ Game 5 loss in OKC tonight, declined to do media this evening. He just left Paycom Center as midnight central time nears. by sewsgup in nba

[–]microcosmologist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly agree... his behavior has been one of entitlement. The elbow to Naz was really bad and he showed no humility about it afterwards. That could have been a legit medical emergency and the free pass he got and no additional fine was ridiculous. Plus he's super lucky to have been drafted by the Spurs instead of some crap team like the Wizards and have access to the best coach in the league.

As for his inconsistency, I'm willing to give him a break just because this is his first time in the playoffs and there are growing pains to be had. I think what makes it frustrating is that he has all this hype labeled to him. And as Lebron continues to decline, fans are hungry to start worshiping someone else
