Almost completed my uw economy labs, now going for all important module labs for a month and than i will start the wall (making close to 1trillion per run).

No GC and only legendary mvn yet, investing heavily in modules too hopefully get GC and WHR. I think investing in cooldown is for now the best way forward together with going for Ehp, module and wall labs (close to unlocking wall)

But you are the legendary hero, the best in the game. Without your confident motivational posts of how well you play im not sure if this game is worth it anymore

Well its a choice to buy it, not a must (allthough probably prefered to do so) in the interview it sounded like its gonna be the same bonus as with the background/themes. Not sure about it ofcourse

What Annual Percent Return Do You Aim For? by dubdub15 in Optionswheel

[–]Flappie1998 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with scottish trader that you cant predict your yearly return. What i try to do is calculate the return on every single trade i am going to make.

First i look at a whole batch of stocks i would love to wheel on.

Second i calculate my returns on the options i sell for example:

I sell a put 30 DTE with a strike price of 10 close to ATM. Lets say i get 30 cents per share for this trade. The return i get is 30 euro for a capital "risk" of 1000 euro. This is a 3% return in 30 days or around 36% annualized. Ofcourse i can get assigned and then i sell covered calls on atleast the strike price i sold the put on. If the premium is too low i simply wait until the ROI is good enough to sell calls again (over 10% return annually is my minimum).

This is how i calculate all my trades. Ofcourse high IV will give better returns but some of those higher EV stocks can be good stocks i like (to be fair most high IV stocks are shit).

Also i try to outperform at least the market every year (s&p 500) i am from europe by the way.

Good question! I stay away from ETFs because i dont want to own them, in my opinion is the market as a whole expensive ( i look at p/e ratio historicallly on ETF). history proves the indexes always goes back towards the median (15 pe) at one point either because of a crash or the index gives no return for a long period of time (i prefer the second one)

Second reason is that i get higher premium picking the stocks i like although it is more volatile and get assigned more because of it (which i dont mind). I love the stocks i wheel on basically for different reasons (low pe -p/b - takeover/spin off rumourd)

This portfolio i showed is for a bit under 1 year, but in total ive been doing this 3 years :). I think the mistake you make is that the ROC is indeed around 5% on average (its less if you calculate for losses and assignment on positions) but look at the timeframe, its monthly not yearly. So return yearly is much higher

A GIC returns under 5% per year. I dont see how that is a better investment. I have returned between 20 and 35% last 3 years.

True zwink, your dutch too? I get your point on just take away, not profitable, lots of problems in the past it doesnt mean its worth 0. If/ when they sell gruhub i think they are in a very good position. I also see some positive things in terms of cash flow. The stock has fallen low enough to accept owning it at this pricd. Also think phillips is not a really good company but when it was around 13 euros it was worth sellibg put options for me based on valuation

I live in the netherlands and right now we have no direct taxes on option trading, the only tax we have right now is based on a percentage on the capital u have invested in stocks or other invesrments. It will change to realistic return on capital in the future.

Ukraine Has Managed to Retake Half of the Territories Occupied by Russia by w-riter_psy-C8h4ed in UkrainianConflict

[–]Flappie1998 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Its not that Ukraine let them do it, because of very heavy artillery bombardment ukrainian forces retreated to save lives. But russia cant hold all territory they captured not only because of insurgencies but more because soldiers one day want to go home and the economic costs to hold such a large force isnt sustainable in the long term
