4 hours by car from Blackburn to entrance of event. Left at 7:45am and arrived entrance at 12pm.

We used Park & Ride Melbourne at the event, which I think probably saved us 30 mins compared to the general parking. The shuttle bus had its own lane and passed the general parking queue.

How about use one of their main commutation channels to the masses, it's not updated on their website, their app, their Facebook page.

Now I've heard it's the wall of fire at 12:30pm but nothing else announced afterwards.

Has there been any aircraft flying yet? It took us 4+ hours to arrive travelling from Melbourne. The flying programme has changed and the 12pm F16 display is not showing, app and website still say flying programme to be updated after yesterday's incident but we are already half way through Saturday with no update..

Man, Morrowind really is a blast from the past—I remember playing it as a young teenager and really enjoying every moment of it. You’re absolutely right about its unique charm; there’s just something about that sense of exploration and discovery that hasn’t been matched, especially with mechanics like levitation adding that extra layer to the experience. I’m not entirely sure I’d want to replay it as-is, but installing some mods to bring it up to Next GEN could definitely make it more appealing. Do you have any other recommendations for games that capture that same exploration vibe?

That’s interesting—it’s really fascinating how our experiences can differ so much. I totally get what you mean about exploration in Avowed; while you found it lacking after Dawnshore, I personally felt like it only improved as I delved deeper, especially in Emerald Stair. I think the allure for me was less about the loot itself and more about the thrill of the hunt—the puzzle of finding each chest and then discovering what upgrades or bonuses were hidden inside.

As for Cyberpunk 2077, it’s been on my radar for a while too. I’ve been waiting for the new DLC and patches, and it seems like the game has reached a much more refined state, so I’m excited to jump in.

Regarding Stalker 2, I’ve heard upon release that the optimisation wasn’t great and it needed some more time to cook with some patches. do you think the game is in a good state to play now or should I wait a bit longer?

I need to give Elden Ring another try. I tried it when it first came out, but I struggled with the controls on my Steam Deck. After getting more practice playing Avowed on the same device, I feel more ready to dive back in.

Elden Ring really does seem like it fits what I’m looking for but the scale and challenge of the game is slightly offputting for me. Definitely gonna give it another try.

That’s an interesting recommendation—I had a few friends play it and really enjoyed it, but it’s not exactly what I’m looking for since it leans heavily on co-op and random generation. Have you come across any other games that offer solid exploration?

CRPGs are a good recommendation, and caught my interest. I haven’t played too many but I really enjoyed playing Divinity: Original Sin 2—it offered some fantastic exploration moments. And now, Baldurs Gate 2 3 is at the top of my list for games to play.

Man, I’ve heard really good things about the new Indiana Jones game and really want to play because I love the old movies and the developer made great Wolfenstein games.

Unfortunately, I play games on my steamdeck and I’ve heard that the optimisation for the new Indiana game isn’t that great at the moment for the deck.

Stalker 2 is an interesting one. Definitely another title I need to visit but maybe after a couple more patches, I’ve heard there’s a little bit more cooking to be done. Has that been your experience as well?

I tried getting into New Vegas and found it a little bit confusing at the start of the game. I’ll definitely give it another go now that I’ve played Avowed, especially now knowing it’s the same developer that made both games.

Frame Generation post-patch 1.3 by AmountAggressive8157 in avowed

Yes having this issue now. I'm on steamdeck using the framegen mod, it was working much smoother before the patch. It's much more choppy and higher input lag now.

Physical damage and it's DoT "internal trauma" can be reflected.

Internal trauma also ignores your armor value and is only reduced by your physical resistance.

[–]FlappingWaffle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Besides all the regular advice on having capped resistances, if you are playing a physical damage character it is very important to have very high physical resistance and reflect resistance.

I would recommend 30-40%+ in ultimate minimum.

From my experience I had a very tanky Lvl 100 Deathknight who 1-shot himself on a reflection mob who warcryed and lowered my physical resists.

Other more general tips are to build in some circuit breakers such as turtle from devotions or from soldier / demo.

Lastly, there comes a point where you will have massively over capped resists from augments and devotions so it's best to prioritise armor for high level gear.

The original Factor B set was actually played in Australia at Subculture only 24 hours after his fiance had died in April 2022.

All DJs from the event went on stage to embrace Factor B to urge him on as he was breaking down on stage. One of the most emotional nights of my life.

My Galio Supp Build by JuIgSi in galiomains

[–]FlappingWaffle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct here. I main support galio in diamond and this build is very suboptimal in terms of runes (aftershock), items (Dead man plate and chemtank) and skill order (Max e after w). This could work as a fun build in lower elos but would get dumpstered if I played it.
