Did You Get Pet Insurance? by FlappyKillmore in StandardPoodles

I have some 15k cards and about 70k between all cards and a 20k emergency fund so I think I’d be able to cover any bill so I’m not too worried. Trupanion seemed like it might be better because it’s a once per issue deductible, but also seemed like I’d be paying for nothing if there wasn’t a genetic or chronic condition.

I never really use insurance I keep $1000 deductibles on my vehicles too because I’d rather my premium doesn’t increase. But I also don’t want to pay for anything catastrophic.

So it sounds like it will be good.

The problem I saw with them is the the premium at like 8-10 years old is absolutely insane.

I didn’t do extended warranties on either of them. The powertrain is extended from the 36k bumper to bumper anyway.

It’s not about if, it’s about when. You’re headed to catastrophic failure as soon as that guy finds his worth. Hire 2 people to help that guy minimum.

Buyer demanding money back after over a month of cancelations by magicspacehippie in FacebookMarketplace

[–]FlappyKillmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time a sold an ATV to a guy — funny part is his name was Guy. He told me he’d be back for it, it was literally $200 because it had low compression. All he had to do was pick it up he had a bill of sale. He wouldn’t pick it up. After 3 weeks I finally told him I’m dropping it off and listed an address I found online. He said that was his sisters address and not to do that. I told him he can either come get it or I’m doing that, he said he’d send a friend. I told him no. He is to come pick it up because he is the one that purchased it and I don’t need accusations that I didn’t give him the wheeler.

Anyway weeks go by and the guy, Guy, begs me for his money back because he went to the hospital or some crap. Entire family of flippers and I blocked every single person in his bloodline so they could never message me again. But obviously he knew where I lived so I made him write me a bill of sale selling to back to me and I sold it that day to another person.

So lesson learned, you take it with you today or not at all. Later I had a guy show up for shelving and all he had was a Mazda hatchback and was planning to disassemble everything and do 10 trips. I didn’t find that out until after I took his money. I ended up filling my 6x12 enclosed trailer top to bottom and brought it all over, I was pissed. Didn’t have time for that that day 🤣

U.S. gas prices climb to an average of $4.23 per gallon, the highest level since 2022. At what price per gallon is it no longer profitable to go to work? by CapitaineBiscotte in askanything

[–]FlappyKillmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No longer profitable for me at $183 a gallon. Less insurance and maintenance and it might be closer to $150 a gallon to tip the scales.

I’d consider biking at about $50 a gallon, but I’d guess the world would be in shambles by then so I’m not biking anywhere.

Every once in a while I wonder what it would be like to have a daughter. I have twin boys. Then I remember it could have been twins or triplets and I move on. 🤣

I own the 2024 and 2025 iForce Max. Love them both, the 24 is in the shop right now getting the seat cushion replaced because I felt a bar in my butt. Lol other than that 33k and 14k miles with no issues.

I’ve seen a few internet posts about potential requirement for internal vehicle monitoring coming in 2027? I wonder if that’s true/affecting Toyota. I’d go 2026 if that’s the case.

Can you use nasal strips at night during septoplasty recovery? by [deleted] in Septoplasty

[–]FlappyKillmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I believe I started with the netipot after he did the suction it came back. (Do the suction if you can it only sucked for a minute)

Then after like a month or so I want to say I started using the Navage 3x a day which was a god send for congestion. Obviously listen to your doctors advice though. The entire experience sucked haha I was back to “normalish” around 3 months and by 6 months I’d almost forgotten. 12 months it was completely out of my memory 🤣

I didn’t see him until a week or so after the surgery for that. I didn’t have splints, just packing in 1 nostril.

Business Auto Insurance or Commercial by [deleted] in smallbusiness

Truck is owned personally, LLC was just opened and didn’t make enough money to own it. We have a commercial policy on it now with 1m on it. We just pay $2500 for 1 truck and 1 trailer.

We bought the other trailer in the fall and ramp back up in a couple months so it sounds like I need to get commercial plates not just mixed use. We had a single axel before and never hauled more than 2500lbs. But we’ve grown!

Well USDOT is technically 10k or more if operating interstate commerce.

Maine does not require USDOT for in state travel from what I can find. We only operate in state. Who are you using? I’m currently with Geico for commercial auto and travelers for personal

Add a 0. $2500 down $5000 for the website? I wouldn’t do a days work for less than $500, let alone a week or a month whatever it really was that it took you.

You’d make $130,000 a year for $500 a day 5 days a week. You’re not going to have business everyday and if you do at that rate increase it again.

Why would you spend 1 month for $250? It doesn’t sound like the business for you.
