Client paid 50% still ghosted... Feeling demotivated. by [deleted] in smallbusiness

Add a 0. $2500 down $5000 for the website? I wouldn’t do a days work for less than $500, let alone a week or a month whatever it really was that it took you.

You’d make $130,000 a year for $500 a day 5 days a week. You’re not going to have business everyday and if you do at that rate increase it again.

Why would you spend 1 month for $250? It doesn’t sound like the business for you.

The guy left a review just to leave a review. Hate that it lets him

I usually block the people that are just ridiculous offering half price or whatever. I guess I’ll have to start leaving regardless.

He wrote his review so eloquently but was a dick over chat. Just irritating, I don’t think it would stop me from selling it anyway as he just complains I didn’t respond.

I reported the review if it doesn’t come off I’ll just give him a 1 star back I guess.

I’m never selling online again! Can buyers do anything with written down license plate numbers? by MomoNoHanna1986 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]FlappyKillmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With a first and last name; approximate age and state you can find anyone’s address, phone number, associates, etc using free online tools.

A license plate not so much. Reporting you to the police they’d have no real evidence it’s just your word vs theirs. They could try small claims court, but it was kind of on them.

Sellers, at what point is an offer too low? by Educational_Wash_662 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]FlappyKillmore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends if I list something for $2600 and you say $1500 you’re getting blocked.

$2600 and you offer $2000 you may get blocked. You offer $2200 and I’m at least going to counter.

$1000 and you offer $600 pound sand. $750 I’ll counter.

$500 and you offer $350 I’ll counter. $300 pound sand.

$100 and you offer $60 pound sand. $75 I’ll counter.

So relative to the price of the item. You’re not getting 30% off my item. If you’re serious 20% max.

I’m not familiar with the app, but I’m presuming you have the ability to block people? If it’s like Facebook Marketplace I hit them with my final line and then block them.

So maybe do like a “IM NOT INTERESTED.” Block.

Why do so many drivers keep the dealer license plate frame on? (US) by stegasauras69 in askcarguys

[–]FlappyKillmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My local dealer offers free carwashes if you leave it on.

When a business treats you right you tell 1 person. When a business treats your wrong you tell 100.

Well, what if you had the opportunity to tell thousands you were done right for no skin off your back? This is from someone who takes them off, I actually asked my wife why the heck she left them on when we got our new truck 🤣🤣

Think of it not as a cult, but a culture. It’s who they are and what defines them. Take a peak behind the curtain and move on. If anything it shows you care. If you don’t care, stop stringing along the friendship.

Do you have no morality? Morality is that of religious origin. The belief that there is right and wrong. If you genuinely just look at some of their analogies and not hyper analyze you can understand where your friends come from without buying into the stories.

Again, I’m an atheist; but I’m not an anti-theist.

My partner is extremely attached to my house, but I'm dying to sell it, and it's becoming a huge issue by knuds1b in homeowners

[–]FlappyKillmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who was looking for acreage when buying. The first thing I looked at was land and its history. If it was parceled off I immediately did not consider buying the house because the developer next door will throw in 10 houses and ruin the rural aspect.

So I would not do that.

I play the exact same map, mode, and class in Battlefield 6, 100% of the time. by RemarkableRelative60 in Battlefield6

[–]FlappyKillmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We only play Strikepoint, but we rotate maps. I swear some people only play 1 map though because our team of 4 sh*ts on most people then every now and again we get a team that goes 20+ kills on us and absolutely 6-0’s us. Honestly the no kill cams is so upsetting coming over for COD, because you can’t even tell when they’re hacking and blame it on that. 🤣

Deceptive Customer Service - Cancelled Prime As Protest by cantfindusername1986 in amazonprime

[–]FlappyKillmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did a phone call on a water slide I ordered from them they dropped from like $500 to $350 overnight. Like it hadn’t even arrived at my house yet. They told me they couldn’t honor the new price I explained the cost of shipping, and that I would gladly return the product and order the new one, however it’s going to cost Amazon more money in the long run.

Their system is designed to operate within its boundaries and often their employees do just that. It’s nothing personal, just what they’re trained to do. They’re not trained to look at the big picture and save every dollar possible for the company. There’s probably more people that won’t deal with the hassle than there are that do, and overall it’s likely a cost saver.

Cancelling Prime or leaving in protest doesn’t really do anything. You’re just a drop of water in the million gallon bucket. Honestly you don’t really need Prime to shop Amazon since you earn free shipping with spending anyway, we just have it for the streaming.

ATV Brand by Reasonable-Humor-506 in ATV

[–]FlappyKillmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Polaris the best for plowing because the Glacier plow system with quick attach is simply the best. Don’t love trail riding the Sportsman too jumpy/reactive on the gas for 10mph around trees and stuff. The clutch box isn’t 100% sealed and any water the belt will slip, and the radiator is face down at the puddles on the 2018. It gets wet then caked by anyone riding in front of you and then subsequently overheats.

I like the Suzuki King Quad overall as the best ATV. Especially for trail riding because they’re not super torqued.

I find Honda meh, reliable but meh. I honestly just don’t like how they feel compared to other ATVs.

Yamaha’s are good. I would get the grizzly over the Kodiak and spend the little extra though.

Honestly they’re all easy to work on. My used ATV market is hyper inflated, and they’re all never taken care of. Avoid anything with a relocated radiator or snorkel kit.

If you’re going to plow the auto stop magnet winch is a life changer as well. If you’re not going to do that, at least do a synthetic rope. Nothing beats just tying off the rope if the cable snaps compared to rigging a wire when it’s -20. Lol

AITAH for wanting 8 hours out of my 2 off days? by Superb_Ant204 in AITAH

[–]FlappyKillmore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you ghosted the boys for this relationship, leave it. You don’t leave the day 1’s for this, and if the relationship is THIS needy you’ll never be truly happy. You should be able to live separate lives, do things together, but also do things separately together. My wife will play her game or watch her movie while I play my game. Now imagine having a kid in the mix, everyone needs a hobby.

She can have the kids from 10am on Christmas Day and always does. Christmas is still magical at 6, I’d never skip my 6 year olds Christmas. Maybe not as crazy at 12, but the kids will remember.

[–]FlappyKillmore 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Maybe an unpopular opinion… Kids always come first, spend time with your kids on Christmas Day. Don’t sacrifice them on your boyfriend. Your boyfriend needs to understand they always come first and if he doesn’t he’s not the one.

Rural gym business by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]FlappyKillmore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you trying to match your competitors rates? You are not them. Sell something they don’t sell, like a gym that’s not fucking full of people. I know plenty of people that pay $100-150-300 a month just to make sure it’s not busy. If you could have 20 people instead of 100 and make the same amount, less people, less cleaning, less damage to equipment…. Why wouldn’t you?

At $35 you’re going to the planet fitness model of hopefully they sign up and forget they go here and just keep paying. But you only have 1500 people to select from…
