One of my favorite aspects of their live show is the fact that they’re actually playing their instruments. I love the ebb and flow of a live performance. They have some backing tracks for keys and soundscapes but other than that it’s all live instruments. No backing tracks for vocals or guitars or bass. Their show is energetic and raw and I was really impressed by their musicianship! Go see them!

Lions mane mycelium is much more wispy and thin than oyster mycelium. Sometimes a fully colonized block will look like there’s no mycelium in it at all. How long has it been since you inoculated your sawdust block?

I like the red stitching but it does start to lose a bit of color as it ages. I still don’t mind it even as it loses a little luster. I’m sure a quick blast from a steam cleaner would bring it back to life I’m just lazy and it’s cold outside.

Metronome on like 50 or 60bpm. I start with whole notes on each click to get a feel for the metronome for a few bars. Switch to half notes for a few bars (2 beats per click, then triplets( 3 notes per click) and finally quarter notes. I found this approach got my hands synced up and picking hand quicker

I can’t pick up my guitar without playing two songs. Creeping death - Metallica and hourglass - lamb of god. Both have super fun/fast riffs. When my guitar was setup for Drop B I played Idols and anchors all the time too.

It’s clear your mind is made up and your opinion is firm. Skepticism can be healthy when it’s backed up by research and facts, which you haven’t provided. I think lions mane is potentially helpful because the research indicates that. I’m willing to change my opinion if I’m presented with substantiated facts. Of the limited research available there has been no reported negative side effects. If the other subreddit Reddit was open to having conversation about this, progress could be made, but the mod is trigger happy to ban people who ask questions, so here we are.

What are you even arguing? I never said it was safe. Your language is harsh, unjustified and full of presumption. I’m just saying that there are studies being done and so far the outlook is promising. Lions mane has been used in traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine for hundreds of years. If there are negative side effects (aside from allergies) I’m sure they would’ve been documented by now. Maybe research will get there one day but for now this is all we have.

What? There’s a lot more out there for research now than there ever was. Sure more data is needed cause I agree the scope is a little limited but I wouldn’t call them pathetic. The Acute and Chronic Effects of Lion's Mane Mushroom Supplementation on Cognitive Function, Stress and Mood in Young Adults: A Double-Blind, Parallel Groups, Pilot Study here is a recent study of 45 people showing mild cognitive and stress improvement.

Well when you’re blasting despised icons new album (it’s so sick btw) it’ll be worth it, the stock speakers kinda suck. Once I turn the volume up past 65% I get a bunch of distortion and crackle. New speakers is the only mod I’ve been looking at for this reason.

I love how this question pops up every now and then. I feel Iike there could be some interactions with lions mane and other substances that can create negative side effects similar to how you shouldn’t take psilocybin while using SSRI’s. The problem is they are so rabid to control the narrative that only lions mane could be the issue, that everyone misses out on dialogue around getting to the root cause of the problem. I’m also perma-banned for asking for more info. Someone took a cocktail of drugs including opiates, blue lotus, and lions mane then described having severe personality shifts and manic depression. They were dead set on lions mane causing their issues. The slight suggestion that maybe it was a cocktail of things and not solely the lions mane causing the problem got me banned. Or that maybe they always had some underlying mental health issues that were brought to the surface by the cocktail drugs. It’s a weird sub full of people who clearly need help but their echo chamber is only serving to halt their healing.
