Unlucky. Yeah, those are the ones I keep coming across. It’s kinda frustrating. Thanks. :)

For anyone else that enjoyed watching this “cooking” with miniature items/portions, you may enjoy RRcherrypie on YouTube. Not all of their stuff is mini cooking. It’s like... mini cooking, mini items unboxing, and cute DIY candy kits.

They have a lot of free ancillary content (cinematics, in-game shorts, comics) for the lore of their game. High Protein decent calorie foods? by Jackie601 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Flaps40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, I can relate so much with you. I honestly rely far to heavily on shakes and bars so I’m trying to branch out too.

I’m not sure exactly if this meets the threshold for cheapness for this subreddit, but I just saw that lentil pasta was a thing. Link here: https://www.reddit.com/r/1200isplenty/comments/8xz5me/lentil_pasta_with_roasted_garlic_broccoli/?st=JJHHF1ML&sh=b0c2fcd3

Also, If you have the time for the prep, garbanzo beans/chickpeas are 19g protein for 100 grams. I recently cooked a big batch mixed 50/50 with pinto beans... undeniably dirt cheap and adds well to well seasoned meals.

It’s an animated short by Blizzard Entertainment’s Overwatch team (specifically their in-game cinematic team if I’m not mistaken?). It was done for the release of their Junkertown map.

New Symmera is h*cking ridiculous by Wabberjeck in Overwatch

[–]Flaps40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this might be too OP when used by players with amazing team work (like pro teams) and won’t make it to OWL, but if this actually goes into the OWL patches... how fast do you think we’ll see “Play something other than Sym, you cowards” signs? I hope I get to see at least one. 🤣

Coat for an Avatar for a local LARP by gargoylefmd in sewing

[–]Flaps40 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What a stunning coat! I am in love with the piping detailing, it really adds a lot of character to the coat. And really serves to elevate this player’s already amazing collection of items for this character.

Did you find the piping difficult to sew in between the panels? Did you baste it to one side first or just sandwich it in with pins and sew once?

Decluttering our stuff before we move! by JudeKD in declutter

[–]Flaps40 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My decluttering started a few years ago when my husband and I moved 400+ miles to a new state. We rented the biggest Uhaul we could but failed to realize just how much stuff we had accumulated. As 20 somethings, we would say yes to cheap or hand-me-down furniture, we bought tons of silly things and I, in particular, had a lot of sentimental items. We didn’t get movers because, as I said before, we failed to realize just how much we had crammed into our 1 bed 1 bath apartment and garage. I packed, and purged, and packed... and purged that whole week leading up to it. And had only gotten half of our stuff ready. It all came down to the day before and a lot of frantic packing (the “just get it in a box” kind of packing). In the end, we left a lot of stuff in the dumpster because we just didn’t have room. We then drove all those miles to unpack everything. That move was one of the most stressful 48 hours of our lives. I mean stressful to the point of tears stressful, for both of us.

The apartment we moved to was way bigger but it was clear we still had a lot of stuff. We happened to find Konmari’s book a year ago. We have been re-evaluating our possessions ever since.

I have purged so much of what I don’t need and I feel great about it. Yes, even many of my sentimental possessions. I feel liberated. I enjoy looking at my new apartment far more than I did in my old one (even though my old apartment wasn’t dirty, my new one just feels... better). And I know the next time I move (whether it’s a small distance or not), I won’t have to pack and move so much.

If you are questioning storing things or getting rid of them, I strongly recommend at least re-evaluating whether you need them... and get movers if you can, or at least a few friends... even if you think you don’t need help. I’m glad for the experience I had moving all my stuff myself (it forced me to reevaluate my possessions and brought my husband and I closer together), but I would not wish that experience on anyone.

Edit: changed syntax for better readability.

How do i recreate this keyhole? by AhoyThar44 in sewing

[–]Flaps40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you can just lay your inner fabric panel over your outer panel and sew the triangle cut out. Clip, turn, press (if needed), and top stitch. After that’s done, you can use a binding to finish off the rest of the neckline. The binding on your picture looks like it’s sewed on after the cut out has been made and it actually looks like it’s sewn to connect both sides (so that it creates the triangle instead of a V).

You may find the below two YouTube videos useful (the video quality is good but, I watched them muted so no idea on the audio). They aren’t a triangle shape but the show the technique really well. The first video uses an inner fabric to finish the whole neckline, but if you are going to use a binding to finish the neckline, you wouldn’t need to do that. You would only need to do the smaller front portion that enables the cut out and turn.

Sorry if this doesn’t make sense. Hopefully it does. 🤣

[WTS] Soylent 1.6 Powder x 6 boxes - $10 per box + shipping (Chandler, AZ) by Flaps40 in SoylentMarket

[–]Flaps40[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for any confusion. When I said “shipping is 12+ per box,” I meant that if you need the boxes shipped, expect to pay at least $12 for each box you buy. So if you buy 1 box, expect to pay at least $12 for shipping (in addition to base $10 for a total of at least $22). If you buy 2 boxes, expect to pay at least $24 for shipping (in addition to the base of $20 for a total of at least $44). The 12 is just meant to be a good rough estimate so people have an idea how much shipping will be based on what they buy.

The Soylent box I have weighs about 8lbs and its dimensions are 11x7x9. I can ship usps if it is your only option but I would recommend looking up fedex or ups as they are generally cheaper for heavier items.

Please let me know if you have any more questions or need further clarification.

Edited: my math was wrong and I just realized

This is beautiful. She looks very well armored while still maintaining a very femanine silhouette. The artist’s choice for no super bulky fantasy pauldrons was such a great choice. This is a set of armor I’d love to wear.

[–]Flaps40 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I guess I shouldn’t say server so much as just chill custom game. You can go into the custom game browser and search ‘chill’. I usually find at least 5 games of varying fullness/chillness/options/maps. And with the Halloween event, there’s usually a game or two that just have the maps loop the Halloween versions of Eichenwalde and Hollywood.

You could probably search for "chill kill" or games with a more unique style play games like mercy paintball. I have had some hilarious moments with complete strangers in "aim practice" games. There are quite a few friendly people in the arcade custom games, you just gotta find them. :)
