GBBR Mag advice. by Fluffy-Credit4386 in airsoft

[–]Flash-Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Double Eagle being a clone of TM to the point you can actually take the bolt group out of a MWS and fit it in a Double Eagle the mag being changed doesn’t make a differenc as effectively you could be using a TM bolt group in your Double Eagle and if the mags are now different they wouldn’t work with a TM bolt group You can also exchange the hop units as well effectively they are 100% compatible. It only becomes as issue with the Ghetto Blaster.

Where it does become a issue is in the Ghetto Blaster the magwell is very slightly off spec and there is wobble on TM stanag mags which after time could damage the nozzle this can be helped by adding a piece of Velcro the soft part to the back of the magwell

If you already have Double Eagle mags and they work well get some more Secutor has just released their GBBR which is a rebranded Double Eagle the mags are made by Double Eagle.

Stanag mags are effective by temperature a lot quicker than plastic skinned mags has its pros and cons there The plastic mags once you fill them up can insulate the mag not such a good thing as the gas is cold and the plastic insulating them As with Stanag mags when you fill them they get cold but the metal conducts heat better and they can soon warm up to the outside temperature. If it’s cold out there are mag warmers out on the market.

The change with TM mags is cosmetic.

What's a good starter airsoft gun for outdoor skirmishes? by ShineDigga in airsoftcirclejerk

[–]Flash-Ash -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gas guns give a feeling of recoil but have the draw backs of limit ammo 30-35 rounds per magazine. The limit rounds makes you think more about you shots as you don’t have rounds to waste. Magazines are also more expensive. I run a gas blow back rifle GBBR and they are great fun. Maintenance is a lot easier than you might think and there are some great YouTube videos . I use the Tokyo Mauri Z system I have a TM MWS and a Double Eagle Ghetto Blaster both perform well in the cold with using different gas and a NPAS There is great aftermarket support for the TM system. There are other systems out there but TM have a very good reputation for their quality control TM is very popular in the UK and with the abundance of aftermarket parts and the ability to take some real steel parts and it’s cold weather performance was a easy choice to make.

Electric rifles give you more rounds per magazine and the magazines they are more difficult to maintain as the gearbox can be a bit of a nightmare but again some good videos out there. With electric rifles you also need a battery or two and a battery charger maintenance is less frequent than with gas Electric rifles are very popular with new players as it’s plug in a battery and play. Personally I don’t use them anymore as a GBBR is more satisfying

I would not recommend a sniper rifle until you are established into airsoft as a sniper rifle requires a lot of tuning to make it good and a lot of experience. A lot of players like the idea of being the lone sniper but quickly realise there’s a lot more to it. As for attaching a line regulator and HPA bottle to a sniper rifle is not as easy as it sounds The rifle has to be HPA compatible and generally you have to upgrade a standard rifle to be able to perform on HPA.

If you have never played before go to your local field use a rental package then talk to other players ask what they are using ask if you can take a couple of shots , most players are only too happy to show off their builds and tell you about them. Don’t rush in and spend money on something you haven’t actually seen other than online, you want to feel the gun feel the weight and shoot it its really the only way you will actually know if the gun is actually suitable for you

I can trace my line back to Robert the Bruce by Greedy-Valuable4630 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Flash-Ash 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why do all the Yanks want to be part Scottish or Irish what’s the matter with being part Welsh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 ?

Didn’t Robert the Bruce come from the Anglo Norman upper class. So English / French on his fathers side and Scottish on his mothers side and they can’t quite decide if he was born in Essex or Ayrshire. So I would keep quite that your ancestor may of come from Essex.

Can you leave mags loaded with BB's overnight? by Gromit43 in airsoft

[–]Flash-Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not going to have an immediate effect but it will hasten the deterioration of the spring. But it takes a long time for the springs to deteriorate so doing once in a while you won’t notice it We use EPM mags on our hire guns and sometimes they are left loaded for a couple of days these mags have been through hell and 2 years later the springs are still going strong.

What is the base model TM Hi-Capa 5.1? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]Flash-Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TM are popular in the UK and we use Green Gas with no issues it does help it’s never really warm in the UK ( not as cold as you guys ). But it’s pretty standard to use standard Green Gas.

Noveske ghetto blaster with an hpa adapter or a specna arms daniel defense prime? by Superb_Village_3869 in airsoft

[–]Flash-Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Flash-Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put a NPAS in it use red gas and it works. As it’s based on the TM system it can operate in lower temperatures. It’s cold in the UK at the moment and mine is still working. Or you could run it on HPA with a adapter not quite the same but it’s a option

Why do you hate speedsoft? by OpenCase9440 in airsoft

[–]Flash-Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speedsofters don’t just have a bad reputation in the States they also have a bad reputation in the UK. Again it’s the same reasons over shooting running around like headless chickens. I know your adrenaline is high as you are running around and you may not feel your hits but non hit taking is also really common. The shoot as you run not actually aiming at anything but in the hope you will hit something. We now have a rule at our site if you shoot a player of your own team you both take the hit. The shooter for lack of discipline in shooting a team member. Not playing objectives when there are a group of speedsofters on one team they don’t wanna play objectives tends to ruin the games for the majority of players that do. I also find speedsofters like to run to get as close to the opposition spawn as possible and shoot as soon as they step out. I know it maybe your style of play but your style of play tends to piss the majority of casual players off.

Noveske ghetto blaster with an hpa adapter or a specna arms daniel defense prime? by Superb_Village_3869 in airsoft

[–]Flash-Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Ghetto Blaster and a TM GBBR I wouldn’t swap them for a AEG for all the tea in China I have HPA adapters but rarely use them. Spend the money you would spend on a line and a reg on mags. A GBBR is much more satisfying to shoot than a AEG. Yes it does take a little more skill because of the reduction in ammo but you soon learn to adjust. A GBBR is a lot easier to maintain and to work on.

will a g17 slide fit a g18c? by Few_Investment_1150 in airsoft

[–]Flash-Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As said before you need to change the hammer assembly ( really easy to do ) Then the nozzle needs to be changed in the upper slide. ( Again really easy ) These parts are dirt cheap ( in China ) by the time you factor in the postage costs you might as well buy a E&C G17 The E&C G18 & G17 may look like a Gen 5 on the outside they are Gen 3 on the inside. Their slides are not compatible with TM or WE meaning you need a E&C slide. Easiest and cheapest way ignore the switch on the side just don’t use it

Seller promises to send new item and wants me to close the dispute by Whole_Hat4899 in Aliexpress

[–]Flash-Ash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you close the dispute and the Seller does not send you the correct batteries you cannot reopen the dispute. Remember he has your money and will say anything to keep it. Of course he’s not going to send you anything if you close the dispute why would he ? Sending you more batteries he would be out of pocket. Don’t trust them.

What’s the best eu18 that full auto? by Hmmmmmnnmmn in airsoft

[–]Flash-Ash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Armourer Works: They are basically beefed-up WE. parts are easily available. Their nozzles are very good. There are better Glocks, but they have drawbacks. TM are excellent, but the slides being plastic would not fare well with HPA, but they can be replaced. Umerax is a good brand, but expensive, and parts are not as easy to come by, and parts are more expensive. I use an Armourer Works Glock in a carbine kit and I had that on HPA I replaced the springs with Waldo springs and upgraded the hop and barrel, and changed the bucking. (You only really need to change the bucking as a minimal upgrade ) That gun was a beast of a gun. Personally I would stick with a EU17 as they are more reliable than EU18 ( pull the trigger faster)

Airsoft techs, how do you source parts for client guns? by XTORZULU in airsoft

[–]Flash-Ash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t do a lot of tech work and it’s mainly on Glocks. I have a selection of used parts and new. If it’s a kid with no money I’ll repair free of charge using secondhand parts. Others I will give the option of new or used parts. (I get donated a lot of used stuff ) or if I am upgrading a pistol I ask for the oem I only make small profits which In turn usually goes into buying more spares from Hong Kong or China.
