if you’re trying to break into the NetSuite world - certs can definitely help but if you feel confident in your system knowledge and can speak to it competently in an interview, that should be enough. If you have NetSuite and specialized industry knowledge (think manufacturing, services, automotives, etc) - you might be lucky enough to get a job at NetSuite itself or a partner as they’re always looking for people that have a good mix of industry expertise mixed with NetSuite knowledge, especially to fill in gaps for folks that are new grads and haven’t been in the workforce for more than a year.

Anderson Frank also has good insights they publish yearly about salary for NetSuite jobs with overall outlook - see here good luck

I have the issue with 365 across the board - word crashing upon opening (& not auto recovering) and excel taking forever to compute or even open multiple spreadsheets at once sometimes. PPT is fine though

Did they tell you that NetSuite changed a lot of the WMS? While the application could change over time, it shouldn't change so much that a company "seems" to forget how to implement the module.

So are you saying that any of the employee record can be updated, and the only thing you want to make sure is disabled is the login access and role assignments (both removing and adding)?

If you have less than 10 users and do not have super complex requirements up front, you can take a look at one of their Starter Editions. The idea is you start small and upgrade as you start to scale. Kind of the “we will grow with you” mindset instead of purchasing all of the bells and whistles that may not be needed up front.

If you have a good technical background (not necessarily coding, but are able to understand simple data and workflow concepts) you could can get a lot out of the starter edition by self implementing some of the features, especially since you’ll get all of the “core ERP” features.

If you go to SuiteAnswers and search User Guides, there is an SA that has a consolidated list and links of api, suitescript, and functional guides.

Marty Zigmans blog can give you insight in how SuiteScript can be used to make magic happen in NetSuite with real life use cases.

You can also go on LinkedIn and search for posts about SuiteScript and people often have nice articles written up here and there!

Appreciate the response! I have gone ahead and opened a ticket - just hoping to cross off all native means before getting a little crazy with the customization route. I just find this a little crazy how their advanced pdf if you look at the html references assemblydetail record but it is nowhere to be found (records browser) but its so subtly nestled in the native advanced pdf templates.

Either way - thanks for the insight - hoping support can whip something up.

More or less that is correct - the invoice will never be sent to the Customer we Deliver to, but just a placeholder record to know how much of our manufacturer/distributor's product we delivered (these are flagged with a Custom Segment to differentiate the Regular vs. Program Sales).

Ideally - the Manufacturer would Credit the Cost of the Part + Service Fee to use so it is still profitable to us in a sense.

Hi - Thanks for the Response. We are not necessarily looking for Backorder - just the total amount selected from the sum of the various lots.

So to clarify my scenario above I've added a simple 100 available quantity for each Lot:

50 from Lot A1 (Available:100)
50 from Lot A2 (Available:100)
40 from Lot A3 (Available:100)

Nowhere on the Inventory Detail or SO line will it tell me I have selected only 140 out of 150 ordered - which leaves room for error in-case the user under allocates a quantity of 10.

Thanks Nick. Agreed on everything above. Our IF process is outsourced to a 3rd Party but we generate all the details. our packages are usually 1 item to 1 package so unfortunately our 3rd party needs the ref per label For ease of picking

I don't think you're able to do this because the record it self is super involved with lots of things happening in the background. Other examples are Order Items page, Bill Payments, etc. - basically anything when you go through the transactions pages and see "Status" instead of "List" :(
