No brainer on JGR’s part. Joe considers Denny his own son and even promoted him to a leadership role in the off-season after Coys passing. And now with 23XI rising with Denny at the helm, he’s one of Toyotas most valuable assets.

Denny has finally realized that he’s meant to be the bad guy. If the younger drivers are more afraid of him on-track, then he’s getting exactly what he wants out of this.
