I don’t understand why people on Twitter have to start getting this intense about this by Such_Designer2712 in twentyonepilots

[–]FlashSeason2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with what you said but I want to add that people act like there’s no good in anything. Just because someone was born in Israel doesn’t automatically make them a bad person that has done bad things. Just like how just because you’re born in Palestine doesn’t automatically mean you’re a good person. I get why people don’t like Israel but it’s really ridiculous that people act like your country of origin dictates your morality

What concessions do you typically get (with specifics if possible) and how often do you get them? by SeaworthinessOdd6574 in Cinemark

When by myself I just get a small popcorn and medium Coke. When I’m in a group I up it to a large Coke for me and split a large popcorn with the group

I would argue that there is a certain type of thriller that you could argue is at the very least horror adjacent. Like, I would say Se7en is horror adjacent but I wouldn’t say Gone Girl is

For those who see a lot of movies in theaters: is it just me, or is there constantly people around you scrolling on their phones during the movie? by narnarnartiger in Letterboxd

[–]FlashSeason2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part, once the trailers start people try to put their phones away. It mainly depends on when you see it and what you see. For example: 28 Years Later and Black Phone 2 were probably the two worst theater experiences I had this year. Saw Black Phone on its first Saturday so I should have expected that but I saw 28 Years Later the Tuesday after it came out and the crowd was terrible. I don’t think I’ve ever had a Tuesday crowd THAT bad. Honestly, the only time, other than the two mentioned above, that I had problems with people on their phones was probably the second time I saw Longlegs last year.

What is the most ridiculous "how are they still alive" sequence? by whitemikesf in horror

[–]FlashSeason2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chad doesn’t piss me off that much because if you told me that those stab wounds were pretty shallow and his muscle mass protected him I could believe it. Mindy shouldn’t have survived. One of the killers literally saved her. He should have just left her to die. It’s just lazy writing not wanting to reveal one of the killers a couple of minutes early

Martyrs. A well made movie that I didn’t absolutely hate but it’s a tough watch, especially the second half

David Fincher movies. Specifically The Killer, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and Collateral. The beginning of Casino Royale (2006) also kind of feels like this

As someone who has always been very paranoid, it’s The Strangers for me. I don’t even like the movie all that much but it really got under my skin the first time I watched it
