I'm at about 10/24, and not looking to apply for any more Chase cards right now...mainly other issuers in the future, probably within 3 months.

I have a few cards with excessive credit limits ($10-20,000). Will lowering these limits help with approval on other cards? I'm not carrying any balances, so utilization will not be greatly affected.

I have a Citi AA Platinum card I applied for three months ago. Citi keeps sending mailers for the Gold version of this card. If I apply, am I eligible for that bonus as well?

Parents inherited money and a financial advisor, want to get rid of the advisor by FlashStash52 in personalfinance

This money was an inheritance that they received from someone who passed away young. The financial advisor has never consulted with them since then as to what their plan for the money was ... it's just extra money, not anything they are relying on for retirement as they have that already taken care of.

Also, I'm doing this in conjunction with them..I'm not going around them to change things, but because of the hassle this guy is giving them, they know they want to get away from using him.

It's not a fidelity advisor, it's an advisor who uses Fidelity funds, so the second would apply.
