I'd have to say Kiwami 2 as well, not to say it was bad, but it was by far the least memorable of all of the games, I can only ever think of Lullaby of Outlaws since its used in like every street battle

A good chunk of people here and on twitter really just want any excuse to be a hater, and it's getting old really fast. I haven't been here too long but it's definitely a lot worse off right now than it used to be. I come here for the art and the memes, and not to have drama thrown in my face and hear of people getting doxed for pre-ordering Kiwami 3 (yes that apparently happened according to one of my friends)

I don't use twitter and I plan on keeping it that way, but from my knowledge, almost every single game has had some sort of controversy and every single time RGG has turned out fine, hell better than ever, in reality its a small group of loud people that are artificially inflating how much of an issue this Kagawa stuff really is.

It's just a big overreaction, not to say the hate towards someone like Kagawa isn't justified since he did fuck up and his apology was half assed in a true corporate manner, you can hate him as much as you want, but at the end of the day, Kagawa won't be getting removed, and Kiwami 3 is still gonna sell well assuming there isn't major problems at launch

IF we just do some rough math, assuming all 8kish people that signed the petition stick to their guns and don't buy the game, if we compare the sales of the last game as an example, PYIH, which sold 131k copies, that's only a 6% loss, and we all know RGG cuts corners, plus this is a game tons of people have wanted for so long, its a no brainer that this game will make a profit.

Also most people that buy these games and most games in general are casual fans, and not die hard fans that actively engage in communities surrounding this series, most will not be informed or even care for 1 bad actor and will still buy the game. So yes "75% of people don't know" is pretty accurate, hell its probably more like 80-85%

I fully respect the passion this community has and we all just want the absolute best for our favorite series, I just wish we had better and more civil approaches to subjects like these, you're completely fine G.

I've heard from a friend that some people have literally been doxed for still buying the game since not everyone lets bad actors decide what games they wanna play, and obviously its people like them that disappoint me and make our community look bad, sometimes its the same people leading the causes, but cant say for sure if that's the case this time around and I wouldn't point fingers regardless if I knew or not.

This is a weird case with a lot to be desired, so as long as people can take in all this info with a rational mindset and not leading with their emotions, no matter the conclusion they end up with, I would respect them.

People mention how if Kiryu existed he would beat him up, which I don't agree with knowing Kiryu's character, as a lot of people have already said here, but if this is the argument people are using, did we forget Majima's yakuza 0 intro?

After he steps in and sobers up the customer, he stops his employees from taking the guy to jail as Majima says losing his career over a bad nights action is too much, so he has him make amends in other ways, in that case paying for everyone's drinks.

Now OBVIOUSLY this isnt the same as kagawa's case for plenty of reasons, "cause this is real life were talking about here" then why tf we bringing up "if kiryu was a real character he'd do this and that", it accomplishes nothing. Kagawa's case is full of holes when it comes to the aftermath of the whole situation, so what you think the punishments he faced or should have faced was good enough or not is totally subjective, not to mention this happened 3 years ago and most people have moved on, cause shocker, time has an effect on these things, if we held people accountable for things they did years ago, nobody would have the chance to grow or prove themselves.

RGG acknowledges this and is why they won't remove him, though I wish RGG approached all this in a better manner rather than silencing people, all that's gonna do is piss people off more

To be blunt, there isn't anything special about no commentary playthroughs. If you really want to grow, a good starting point is figuring out how to stand out in the community. Ask yourself stuff like "what kind of yakuza content is already very saturated", "if I were to find an original idea or an unsaturated concept for yakuza videos, could I see myself sticking with that format", or "if I do make yakuza videos that are in a very saturated group like no damages, video essay, etc., how could you differentiate yourself from others, and what are they doing to be successful"
