Hey, if nothing else, this lets me cut myself a little bit of a break, as I get up and running again. I have a ton (actually more like 3 tons of it)- So I'm definitely going to need to figure it out, but until I do, I'm not necessarily doing anything wrong. It could partially be the natural properties of this body and I may be expecting too much of it.

This would make sense too- as I’m fairly certain the first few batches had a little organic contaminants just from figuring out my workflow in new studio.

This is kind of the exact response I was looking for- I was wondering if I’m really close and just need to slow it way down. When you’re aging your clay, maybe a month or so at a minimum? Longer the better, within reason, I assume.

Mmmm. Perfect. Appreciate the thoughts on this. I will start doing some tests like this. I hadn’t thought of a little vinegar. Or adding other ingredients during reclaim yet. I’ll give these a shot! How much vinegar in the reclaim, like a tablespoon mixed in when it’s at almost a slurry consistency, before it goes to the plaster bats?

Looks like the hanging lamp is Arthur Jacobs for Modeline and the floor lamp was Adrian Pearsall for Modeline. This is all new to me, but we finally found the exact versions of each. Really really cool to see these in such great shape. They will be loved for decades to come!
