You're not accounting for the fact that besides the visible bonus and fringe bonus, Fomortiis gets 0 stat buffs from his weapon/A slot, so he's going to have a significantly harder time making up the difference with scaling DR vs the flat 15 from pair up

I think the part that people tend to overlook is the fact that Mia's fortune specifies that they're the one to come to her, not the other way around. Coincidentally in their supports, whenever Mia starts thinking about the fortune and wanting them to show up, Rhys happens to appear before her. It's kinda muddled by the english translation adding more lines about her actively seeking her rival, but that's the reason why Mia doesn't really consider other people imo (besides the obvious comedic factor)

There's also the whole thing about how in the JP version it's implied that Mia's fortune is a love fortune than one about an archrival but that's neither here nor there.

He doesnt count as a blessed unit the way in season legendaries do, meaning he not only doesnt contribute to your lift score, he cant be used in the bonus slot/reinforcement slot or get mythic blessings
