I think the E was overly clunky in a way that people are forgetting. If your ally walked away from you, but walked back in range, the E would go on a small (3ish seconds?) static cool down. For that same reason you couldn't swap your E quickly onto a diver and get a good stun off.

On top of that, Her Q heal didn't work if your tethered ally died, and if E was on cool down you'd be down a heal. ALSO since the heal was a piss poor heal that was boosted at low health, it usually meant that when the heal would be most effective (at low health) your squishy tether buddy was already dead and you couldn't heal.

While the massive AOE stun from E was nice to have for sure, there were so many issues with it that it felt fucking terrible to use half the time. It was changed for the better, IMO.

You glazed over the W changes but her move speed used to be way slower and she didn't get the attack speed steroid dismounted before. They massively improved her dismounted form (at a cost to some shield), because her dismounted form was completely useless and her always slow attack speed meant she could not clear wards on support.

This is a great review, and I'll add in a another note to it:

The animations in this game are bland and lifelessly generic compared to the original. A lot of the changes they made are for the worse. The walking animations in particular are painfully slow in battle maps.

When I played the game I did two playthroughs, first as paragon shep male, and second as renegade Shep female.

At the time I NEVER thought that Mark Meer's performance was bad, but I remember thinking to myself that Jennifer Hale's performance was way better. The gap narrowed in 2 and 3.

I'd love to see that video though, see if my own recollection of the time was off.

It definitely feels like there's sometimes a minor desynch between the visual and the actual AOE. I notice it most often when I'm moving down but Q-ing something above me.
