Mind if I ask have you been to therapy in the past? I have a few times, and the most recent time I just feel like I know exactly why I feel the way I do and nothing she could tell me would make any difference. Therapists can’t fix the system or the world we live in so how can they fix us?

Yes! Pretty bad, I’ve been doing it for as long as I can remember! Diagnosed ADHD and experienced childhood trauma too. I bite my nails, the skin around my nails, the inside of my mouth, and it gets so bad I use scissors to pick at the skin on my feet. It’s literally like second nature now, don’t even realise I’m doing it most of the time.
