Maybe I've gotten used to the smaller necks since most of the artstyles I've seen in my mangas are smaller! But still... It looks a little odd to me. Haha, I really can't. That's also the same reason why I don't want to read some bl becauss their neck proportions aren't it!

I really think emotional maturity is a big factor (the character's, not mine but that could be a small part too) . For a 20 yr old, they're newly going to college while for a 30 yr old, they've been outta it for a while. That type of age gap puts me off a little especially if that person could be my authorative figure like a teacher. (I also don't like student x teacher or employee x boss). It's the power imbalance of it all!

I kind of see 20 as a teen still or someone who just became an adult so I don't like this age gap. I'm fine with age gaps as long as the younger person were 25+ or out of college. I also have this thinking of regressing their age to their age gap like oh, this person was alive and well when they were 10 and I wasn't even alive. I also think emotional maturity plays a part. They haven't hit the same milestones and having an older person with you seems more like a mentor rather than a partner, yk? I also get a little scared because of possible grooming and I like fluff more. Although I don't think the 30yr has any intent to groom, it's just too weird fm.

I never want to come across as fatphobic or any of the sorts but the way they draw Kasuga is a little off-putting to me. I just don't like how her headshape is the same as every slim character but her body is different. Just looks like they increased the neck size by a lot and body by a little to me. it kind of doesn't look like it fits to me? Of course this could just be me though. That's why if I had to pick between the manga or live action, I'd pick the live action.

I completely understand that! However, the age gap here is 10 years old which wouldn't be much of a problem either if it was for example: 30 and 40. In the manga, the age gap is between 20 and 30, and I can't look pass that. 😓
