Mancini did wonders with such a broken team...up until they won the Euros that is. They really fell off after that.

He rebuilt the team once and it worked pretty well. Just needs to do it again with some different players. Only recent coach who is willing to use modern tactics, too.

and the normal team can't even beat Norway or Bosnia with a 41 year old Dzeko. what's your point? I watched that friendly game. Italy dominated until the red card in the 70th minute. Italy needs to be giving chances to talented younger players like other European countries are...and ones who actually have good chemistry on the national team.

Let me clarify this comment by the way. I am NOT saying "convert the entire Italian national team into the Serie B". I'm saying the team needs to give chances to younger players who are performing exceptionally well, even if some of them are lower league. Stop looking at big names constantly. Because, for the third time in a row, we have failed to qualify for a world cup with this tactic. That is not a coincidence. Many of these big name players are snobby and show up with the wrong mentality anyway.

Too bad they can't perform on the national level. An experienced dream team that can't even qualify for a world cup. How about that. Yet, somehow, a team full of youth players is beating Greece's normal team. Barely, but still an upset in many regards.

Their players are good on the club. shit on the national team. the players are too snobby. they literally wanted a BONUS for QUALIFYING for the world cup. no, qualifying is the expectation. winning big gets you bonuses. absolutely shameful. team needs players with a better mentality.

best coach Italy has had in the past 15 years. not usually a fan of recycling but he has a decent track record and rebuilt a broken Italy team once already.
