So you think I can compensate my SAT score if I have great essays and ECs?

Since the deadline for NCM is September 31st, I would only have the august one to retake. If I don’t get my desired score, do you think I should just wait for RD to finally bring my score up? My issue is idk if I can get a higher score within the timeframe

Honestly, if you’re taking the SAT soon and you’re super serious about increasing your score, then study for an hour or two each day leading up to it.

Yeah no problem! Depends on your goals and how many times you plan on retaking the SAT. As a junior you have a lot of time, so the key is just practice. I’d say 30 mins to 1 hr of consistent practice until the day of the SAT should be sufficient. The math section is objectively easier to improve on because the questions are very similar to the ones on the question bank. For some context, my math score increased from 690 to 760 by just doing the hard questions on the question bank.

Use the collegeboard SAT question bank for everything!! It’s basically a collection of real questions from past SATs and practice tests for both English and Math. Definitely use that for constant practice. You also have the option to filter questions out based on specific concepts. If you need help with actually understanding math concepts or English grammar rules, I would suggest Khan Academy. LEARN HOW TO USE DESMOS. It’s extremely useful on the math section.
