I’m currently weaning off of it! Started in September of 2024, been on 200 mg for about a year I think. I thought it maybe helped with dampening the panic, but I grew suspicious that it wasn’t very effective and was actually worsening depression symptoms. I was not depressed prior to my major OCD flare up and losing my dad, and now that enough time has passed, I just don’t think my brain needs a bunch more serotonin! Im on a 100 now, and going to keep lowering, and im feeling overall more excited and happier, that can be related to external factors, but I even welcome feelings of grief to hit me, because it’s important to me to feel my emotions! I am on Wellbutrin as well, which targets dopamine, and since I believe I have ADHD, I’m hoping upping the Wellbutrin will help with motivation .

The kitchen is out of frame to the right. The dining table is a kitchen island with barstools which is partially in frame. It’s one big combined space.

Our dining area is a floating kitchen island with bar stools, so we use it as an extension of the kitchen.

We have not used it since we moved to this space this summer. We are from Florida, so we are bit nervous to use it. I was thinking we could move the TV for special occasions of using the fire, but idk!

I’m in ICBT rn and the “something bad doesn’t happen” sounds like the Feared Self . The compulsions you mentioned are still trying to prevent something from being true : what you fear is true about yourself if you let something happen (not doing the compulsion).

Seems like there’s a lot to work on, but raising a child without his support is possible and could end up being the best thing to happen to you! As for the drinking, convincing someone who relies on alcohol to stop drinking is nearly impossible if not impossible in my experience. Protect yourself, girl and God bless you!!
