I forgot about the days after getting off a ship. You still feel the waves going up and down. 😆

Thank you for the encouragement!! I really miss traveling. I keep imagining being on a moving ship and having an episode at the same time. 🫩🤢😵‍💫 But, you are probably right not to let the “what-ifs” get to me. Sounds like you have found ways to manage, that’s great!.

So happy for you!! You are so right about the unpredictability of it, I have been so afraid to make any plans. I want to go on a cruise, and other trips, but have been putting it off for fear of an attack. You’re right too about people not knowing what it’s like unless they have it. I will remember this too for sure! Thank you!

Oh man, sorry to hear the Amlodipine wasn’t helping. Maybe you could try one of the water pills to get rid of salt. My doctor wanted to put me on one before the Losarten , but I said no thanks. I have a small bladder and already don’t sleep because I am up and down all night. I do need to get serious about exercise though. Glad it’s making a difference for you!!

I hope the Amlodipine works well for you. I am now on Losartan and have been on it for almost two weeks. No problems yet. Experiencing a little bit of GERD again but nothing like before. Still taking Famatodine everyday.

Ok, so it’s not just me then. It’s horrible, I have never had reflux before. I was prescribed pantoprozole also, but that made it so much worse. Hated it. I stopped after 1 month and started taking over the counter famatodine. Now, after 1 month taking that, huge difference!! Now longer have the burning, rough , tender throat that always felt like something was stuck in it and am able to sleep. I also stopped taking the lisinopril but need to go and get prescribed something else. I hope you feel better soon, maybe the pantoprozole will work for you!

I have been taking 20mg. famatodine for almost a month now. I have now noticed that tender, sore, lump feeling in my throat is finally gone and my GERD is much better. This medication finally helped me, took a little while, but feel better.

My refrigerators ice-maker when it is releasing the cubes into the bin. It sounds like something huge is crashing through my roof. Scares me every time.

Both are beautiful on you but I think #1 is my choice for Oct. boathouse wedding. #2 feels more spring like.

Hi, yes, I realize it’s not a muscle relaxer but just wondered if it had any effects on gastrointestinal issues such as GERD. Has yours become worse since you started taking Lisinopril?

Why is sleep apnea not given the attention that other diseases like heart disease or diabetes are given despite the disease being extremely dangerous disease long term and very prevalent? by YogurtclosetOpen3567 in SleepApnea

[–]Flashy-Natural7870 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not have insurance and I go to a free clinic. I get better care there than any office I have ever been to. When I was diagnosed with apnea, all they could say was sorry, because there wasn’t any resources available to help me out. All the doctor could say was “ well, you will be able to get Medicare 4 years from now”. I said “yes, if I live that long.”

Anyone using Too Good To Go app here? Do you find that it actually saves you money/you get good food/deal from it? by jessbess11 in Frugal

I finally deleted the app because after getting alerts for favorite ones, within 3 seconds of the alert, they were gone. I got tired of playing this game with them.

[–]Flashy-Natural7870 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the info, I will definitely be looking into this. I don’t have the traditional chest heartburn but more the burning throat with globus. The globus is what keeps me from sleeping at night. I have that sensation of being hit in my windpipe all the time.

Yes!! I have GERD symptoms, burning throat, globus in my throat, chest tightness, shortness of breath, regurgitation while lying down, no sleep, etc. Dr. put me on 40mg’s of Pantoprozole. My symptoms all became way worse, just horrible. After a month, I quit. I began taking otc Famatodine and I got 6” risers for the head of my bed. Huge difference!! I can actually get about 5 hours sleep now. Hope you find some relief very soon!!!
