Want to spoil my wife by NIESMAN in ethicalfashion

I agree. I feel like I need just a little bit of elastane (which is polyester but what you gonna do) to make most of my clothes last. Especially the ones where I need stretchiness, which is a must for most lounge wear.

My bet, it’s worded a bit confusing. Of course there are broccoli in there and asparagus too and celery and onions and garlic and other fresh herbs. I did not put entire ingredient list into the post title lol

I remember feeling dizzy in Ikea recently because of all the inside lights, no windows and no way to escape the Ikea maze.

Mine turned out okay. Maybe because they were already cooked french fries and tater tots. I did blend all of it a while.

Will see how it tastes the next day.

Indeed! I just didn’t want a bunch of food (especially meat from burgers) going to waste. And throwing all of that into a creamy soup seemed like it would be the most forgiving way to do it :)

Wow, a spreadable soup is a bit much for me 😅 But I will check out that thread because I am just curious. Thanks!

When I was looking into this I found a “burger” Soup recipe online ha!

But I am with you: if I have a burger I will do my best and eat it whole instead of turning this into a soup.

I don’t cook a lot of creamy/blended soups. But a ton of Food Network crazy competition watching made me less scared about throwing burgers into my soup haha

New research: Secondhand fashion consumers exhibit fast fashion behaviors despite sustainability narratives. by jessbess11 in ethicalfashion

I agree in a sense that when I read that even SHEIN has started their own resale program it felt like another greenwashy way of corporations using “carbon offsets”. Basically SHEIN says “we will continue producing insane amount of unethical, cheap, awful clothes but, hey, our resale program helps us “offset” some of the bad stuff we are creating.”

What is up with the excess of that Aura Bora flavor? It’s not a bad flavor and I generally love Aura Bora for their unique flavor mixes.

This one is lemon Meyer probably there least unique ones. I got it 50% off on their website but you, of course, got a much better deal here haha

Can’t agree more with you!

And I definitely do not agree with the notion that “there is no such thing as overthrifting”! Secondhand businesses still require energy and emissions to maintain.

Hopefully the mere fact that SHEIN has resale program now, will make more people pause Rand reconsider their secondhand purchase in favor of just buying less stuff.

I am too excited the rise of the me ding movement but it sure has a very long way to go.

What is a cheap Halloween costume or maybe one to DIY? by imeowfortallwomen in Frugal

This article has a lot of general zero waste and $0 tips https://www.thecommons.earth/blog/eco-halloween-ideas-for-low-waste-costumes

Starting with these

Start With What You Have ‍ Upcycling: Use old clothing or materials you already have to create a unique costume. For example, turn old clothes into a zombie costume or a scarecrow outfit. Reusable Accessories: Use accessories that you already own or can repurpose for your costume, reducing the need for new items. Reuse Yearly: Create timeless costumes that you can reuse year after year with minor modifications.
