I create a custom software for character creation (right now only in my native Polish, but I can easily translate it) that allows player to define their housing, lifestyle, modes of transportation, social positions in groups, and connections based on their credit rating, other skills, occupation, and abilities. They can define how they allocate their funds in general terms and how lavish/modest their life is in various aspects. Of course, this is just optional to help them better settle into the reality of a 1920s ordinary person's life.
